I was so scared to land my aerials because of my head hitting the ground, but I tensed myself up wind up into it and just commit as hard as I can. Now I can do it anytime anywhere. 😀 (Tricker btw not a gymnast)
Silverwalls that's also my problem, I'm always so scared but don't know how to change it. I try to think positive but it doesn't work. O think I could do it into a foam pit but I'm not a gymnast and I don't have a foam pit at home...
Kaklimk kluwana Have the mindset of you landing the trick and go in giving it 100% every try, you should always remember that the full rotation is all in the pull that you do with your arms to get you around (works good for me) and keep your legs as straight as you can rotating yourself as hard as you can to get the full rotation axis and successfully landing on your feet.
Silverwalls I can imagine myself doing an aerial but nevertheless I can't do it. I think I could do it because I can take away my hands from the ground in the middle of my cartwheel. But I can't take them away at thr beginning because I'm scared. I'm still gonna try. And thanks for the tip with the arms!
Please help me im practicing at a road coz there is no grass when im attempting my aerial i keep putting my hands down coz i think that i will fall in my head i dont want to coz its a road . Please give tips
wow, I never new how hard a aerial could be for someone, this I am so good at since I was 5 but I am no wear near as good at his kicks and now I want to learn the b-twist but I am not as good at kicks like he is. Thank you for sharing your hardship and your perseverance. You inspired me to keep going as we all have our own challenges that can be overcame. Great job.
I felt the joy when you were able to finally do it. Exactly how i felt when I practised my front walkover. Took me a couple of weeks since that needs more flexibility. The back walkover is much harder as you need to push your body more. Then progressed to multiple walkovers without much distance
I’m a Dancer and it took me a YEAR to get my Aerial!!! Very good Progression! Just next time when your Trying a new skill, try it on a mat or on a Trampoline! It will help with not hurting yourself☺️ But still very good job!
Great job you nailed it:) Its nice to see people who accomplish their goals! You have inspired me to do my ariel im almost their just a bit more practice And good luck with the rest of your goals!!
I'm a gymnast and just got my aerial, great job but my tips and to go back and work on improving your cartwheel so it's with straight legs and consistent, also to work on a good prep I know it's kinda hard when you are teaching yourself but I actually taught myself an aerial because it's a higher level than I am and I really wanted to get it, anyways I always take a few steps have a really big hurdle and push off the floor so I can get height and rotate to land it. 🤗😎😀 good job on getting your aerial!
It took me almost 3 MONTHS to get me side Aerial. At the beginning of the first 2 weeks I was already giving up because I saw no progress and i did practice EVERY DAY. And to keep me from giving up I always tell myself “If You want an Aerial Then WORK HARD FOR IT and eventually I did 😁 (right now I’m practicing for my middle splits to make the side Aerial even more perfect 👌)
I starter yesterday practitting my aerial, i just have my cartwheel (not perfect) and my one handed carthweel looks like a poo, but im really afraid od that I hit my head in ground, do you have any tips? (BTW sorry for my english)
I got rid of how long I took to learn on my videos because I don't want people to feel like its a competition to learn. learning is done and a different pace for everyone, but the important thing is you don't give up after a few goes or a few months. Just keep trying you'll get it!
I’ve been trying to get my aerial for more than a year and now that I have a coach I’m actually getting really close to doing it! My tip is just not giving up
Made me so happy watching this, you seriously put so much effort into getting it, I had been working on getting mine and finally got it, I just want to get it solid because sometimes I don't get enough height, good job dude
I watched this video when it was posted and that's what inspired me to do gymnastics! Even though I started doing it in 2016, I have good progress now. Thank you for posting this!
Wow! You got it so fast. NICE! My aerial definitely took longer than yours to develop. I had trouble hitting a 180 degree split mid-air. Apart from that, try improving your cartwheel and splits to straighten your legs, you might also even consider pointing your toes so you'll have a better form. ☺ Broken lines doesn't hit well with judges. Are you a gymnast?
You're Amazing! You did your aerial for about a week and I got it for 2 months! But here's some advice You're lacking of flexibility practice your straddle, middle split and oversplits
I can't cartwheel. Heck, I can't even handstand. But with the weather slowly warming, I think I'm going to try to learn. I just need to not be afraid of injury. XD
This actually helped me a lot! Usually I am thinking about keeping my hands off the ground but now it is so much easier when I thing about a fast rotation and height :D
I do gymnastics and here’s a few tips (don’t get offended) 1.) that’s not a aerial, that’s a butterfly kick. An aerial, your body is straight but a butterfly kick your like bent 2.) straighten your legs please. I know your more muscle than flexibility so it might be hard but you need to 3.) point your toes. It gets you through the air quicker and keeps you balanced. Trust me. 4.) when you do it, aerial or cartwheel. You don’t land sideways of how you started. You would land facing the opposite of where you started. 5.) Don’t keep your arms straight down liek your going to touch the ground while doing the aerial. Keep your arms straight like when your standing and your arms are down straight, that’s where your arms should be, or bend them at your stomach and keep them there. Just some tips
This is really cool that you have done this in little time. But you need to make your legs straighter cause it doesn't totally look like an aerial and it helps rotation and just makes it easier all together if you straighten your legs. I'm excited to see what more you can do in a couple day. Real Tallent!
jejejeje hace poco que empecé hacer el airial progresivo con una sola mano pero me falta hacerlo sin manos y estoy sufriendo en aprender, me encanta este tutorial.
I learned my aerial by doing a 1 handed cartwheel on my trampoline and pulling my hands away in the middle of it and once I got good at that I went for my aerial and I did it!
I like how you’re older than six and doing it. So many six year olds are more advanced these days. Sometimes it comes to show you have to be small to be in dance and that’s not the case. Not in my studio.
Hey you made me confident to try and learn it. But I’m afraid of getting hurt because I don’t have any proper equipment like an air track. I do go to a gymnastics class but they don’t seem to teach aerials. Idk my parents might be able to spot me but idk if I trust them lol.
I can do an aerial but it's shaky it's hard to tuck the landing is hard and I don't have enough confidence but I have to work on those things and i have a gymnastics background to help me so I know I can do it.
Omg when I got my aerial my ankle would hurt too because I was using a new muscle. Just do fast cartwheels when it hurts then the next day if it doesn’t hurt try it again. Make sure your head and chest stays under you
I'd be just trying to lightly touch ground no weight on hands. Not using arms for momentum though. Also I think Id do a month of yoga before trying this lol. Also how do u not tweak ur lower back? I've got a Swiss ball core workout that could be good. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing that about ur ankle. Also where do u feel the power come from? Is is a mini quad drive of standing in leg when torso almost horizontal? Lots of respect for toughing it out.
Omg u can!! Do it, usually something takes me a month or 2 to finish a trick. You can accomplish something just work hard on it, got it hopefully I can do a ariel next week. Good luck to me guys and pray for me😊 to still be alive
