I absolutely love the attention to detail with the silicone standoffs. I wish they weren't mere jackets for screws but had a way to elastically support the plate.
That is such a pretty PCB and the cable for the USB port inspire more confidence than other wires I’ve seen. I really am a sucker for those things even if you don’t see them in the end.
Is that an Aerosmith reference? "Dream until your dream comes true." is a line from their most popular song "Dream On.", and paired with the name 'Aero 75', it's a cute tribute.
What's a decent priced keyboard that won't break the bank but offer me great sound and feel? Also, something that I don't have to upgrade for a long while. Thanks! Great video btw!
I really like the overall build, but the ribbon drives me absolutely crazy. I would like to make a similar keyboard and hopefully I will succeed. I will skip the ribbon. Thank you very much for the video.
If it's hotswap, maybe the damaged or loose hotswap socket? you may need to resolder it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OU-qWUOkC1g.html&ab_channel=TokenTech
Hey 3ildcate I'm getting a Logitech g715 keyboard for Xmas, because my current membrane keyboard is just... Well bad. And its 3 yrs old so its a bit gross. Anyway, its not hot swappable and I don't even know what type of switches it has because different retailers sell different switches. And they don't say sadly, but is there anything I can do to mod it? I'm really keen on getting some special keycaps ( not for the whole thing. Just for like esc shift and stuff ) But I don't know where to by them from. I'm in Australia so amazon shipping is usually as much as the produce. Like I really want a monitor arm and there's this one on there for 30 bucks, but its 70 shipping so that's not really an option cos moneys tight. Anyway, if you could help by telling me some keycap websites, and maybe help telling me some mods. Thanks a lot. :) Oh and the keyboard is white with rgb around the rim and under the keycaps.
If you are looking for some cheap ones, how about the Aliexpress? Their shipping cost is cheap compared to other stores. If you are more like to check the future GBs, keycaplendar.firebaseapp.com/
they really do but unfortunately have had issues with delays and terrible customer service and for the life of me i cant figure out why as a design studio they cant wrap their head around a recessed usb port, the usb sticks out like a sore thumb and legit looks so ugly as fuck in contrast to the clean design language. really bizarre choice
