LEGENDS OF THE SKY IN GATINEAU FROM SEPTEMBER 15-17, 2023!
La 6e édition d'Aéro Gatineau-Ottawa promet plusieurs nouveautés, notamment la performance d’un MIG-17, les spectacles de GO EZ Aerobatics et du vétéran de l'aérobatie américain Kent Pietsch, ainsi que la renversante WingWalker (marche sur les ailes) Carol Pilon. Une première canadienne sera également proposée avec un ballet aérien mettant en vedette un planeur salto remorqué par un avion militaire Nanchang CJ-6. Le pilote légendaire du circuit aérien Red Bull Air Race, Pete McLeod, a également confirmé sa présence. De plus, les légendaires Snowbirds, le CF-18Hornet, et l'équipe de parachutistes des Forces armées canadiennes, les SkyHawks seront de retour cette année pour émerveiller la foule.
Cette édition sera marquée par une grande nouveauté : l’ajout d’un spectacle nocturne le vendredi soir, qui mettra en vedette le jet à réaction MiG-17 de Randy W. Ball, l’un des seuls de ce type toujours actif en Amérique du Nord et l’avion acrobatique Long EZ de Kyle Fowler incluant des effets pyrotechniques époustouflants. Mais le clou de cette soirée sera surement la firme renommée Groupe Royal Pyro, qui offrira quant à elle une prestation originale avec une centaine de drones, une première au Canada dans cette formule.

The 6th edition of Aero Gatineau-Ottawa promises several new features, including a MIG-17 performance, shows by GO EZ Aerobatics and American aerobatic veteran Kent Pietsch, as well as the stunning WingWalker Carol Pilon. A Canadian first will also be offered with an aerial ballet featuring a salto glider towed by a Nanchang CJ-6 military aircraft. Legendary Red Bull Air Race pilot Pete McLeod has also confirmed his attendance. In addition, the legendary Snowbirds, the CF-18Hornet, and the Canadian Armed Forces parachute team, the SkyHawks will be back this year to amaze the crowd. World War II aircraft enthusiasts will not be left out, as Aero has brought together three great legends of the Pacific: the Grumman TBM Avenger, Louis Horchel's Corsair FG-1 and the return of the American movie star: the ZERO Tora 101 replica!
This edition will be marked by the addition of a night performance on Friday evening, which will feature Randy W. Ball's MiG-17 jet, one of the only ones of its kind still active in North America, and Kyle Fowler's Long EZ aerobatic aircraft, including breathtaking pyrotechnic effects. The renowned firm Groupe Royal will offer an original performance with a hundred drones, a first in Canada. This unique experience is a major addition to the already rich and diversified program of the most appreciated air show in Canada.
