The hole is an oval. After drawing your trace lines on, use a hole saw bit. A small one and a big one. Then connect the holes with a dremmel cutting wheel. Will come out much cleaner.
I like the vid as usual. I think painting the hood black would do the car some good and would make it even more race'ish. You can always use plastidip and peel it off in case you dont like it. Keep up the good work, and show us the wheels already, c'mon :D
That can't be right. You don't think it goes on top of the hood. How would it look if you put it on top and then put the nut side on the bottom? Would look better
I did it right. There are 2 styles that aero catch makes and I accidentally bought that installs from the bottom. The other style drops in from the top and looks way better
Installed the wrong kind and upside down too... the wider end is supposed to be in the back because there's potential for the pins to fail if air catches them and flips the lever up. Not that that little piece of crap could ever go that fast anyway though I guess.
+Ruben Torres my engine bay is disgusting and an eBay won't do much for looks lol! I agree it would be lighter but I'm not concerned with that right now. Right now I'm just concerned about learning to be a better driver so I'm not throwing anymore parts at the car unless something breaks. When I swap in a different motor I'll get a header. thanks for watching - Travis
Not sure if I can do this with my hood- my paint job is pimp and it looks like there are a lot of scratches around the passenger side lock. I’m wondering if there is a good way to install it cleanly.
Why did you make your car look for track setup then end up not going to the track then proceeds to make a stance type car? Not hating just curious for your reasoning of the things you do. Personally I wouldnt cheap out on fake wheels if I know I have to track a car.
