Thank you, thank you, thank you! At last an understandable explanation of some AEROS functions. It’s a pity Singular sound do not make decent training videos. Keep up your great videos.
Excellent video again!...Antoine can you explain how to record loops 'from' the Beatbudy rather than just using it for live accompaniment. What would the set up be in this case? So, in short..recording the Beatbudy beats and fills only for a stand alone track. Hope this makes sense! Thanks again, keep the Aeros videos coming!
thanks man that helped alot, i bought one today after trying one out used. I was hoping the Aeros Loop Decay would work like a feedback looper delay decaying automatically even without the first overdub but it seems like it only starts once the overdub starts.. :(
Thanks, Antoine! There are a few things you didn't explain, like what is "6 by 6 mode," but i guess I'll figure that out myself. Overall, you've done a good job of making ppl aware of this product, and it's features.
6 by 6. So under standing the looper, its big selling point is parts of a song. Lets say your song has 6 parts: So intro, chorus, verse, breakdown, solo, outro. This looper can have all 6 of these parts and you can move between them freely. The other 6 means you can have 6 individual loop in these parts. So you could technically record 6 instruments for each part of the song. And these loops(instruments) are all treated separately! Each looping layer can also be overdubbed etc etc, Its like having a 6 track recorder that can have its own mini session for each part of your song! So you could lay down.
Not yet. I am in close contact with the team at Singular Sound, and they say this is their #1 priority right now to solve this in the next firmware update. I sadly do not have a timeframe, but I'm confident this will get resolved. I'm pushing hard :-) this looper is too good to have such an issue left unresolved. I will start making videos about it again when it gets resolved. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks for your nice demonstration of the decay function. I think you were in RPO mode. Many of us "frippertronic" freaks have been asking for this function to work in ROP mode for creating loops that truly evolve continuously. The last word from the company was that this is not possible due to the architecture of the device and the way overlays are created. So, that's something that this "super complex" looper can't do which many other much "simpler" loopers can without any problem. Thanks again for taking the time to demo these functions.
The Aeros is a beast. You can just keep it simple or very complex. The complex user base is keeping Singular Sound on its toes to help push this machine to its real potential, which is endless. Splitting the stereo would be nice, more midi enhancements and being able to easily dump the files from the Aeros, adjust them in a DAW ie, add reverb and other processing and then add back into Aeros would be great. Currently you have to trim the ends of the Aeros tracks to make that work.
Yes! I'm far from a ''complex user'' myself, but it already has so many simple things it can do that other loopers don't offer, or at least not in the same way. And they keep improving it year after year. Love it!
Hey there! Just wanted to clarify that the only reason to trim the end of a track when taken from the Aeros and placed in a DAW is if you wish to loop that track in your DAW, the reason being 360 samples are added by the Aeros which are used to keep pops from happening at the loop seams. If you only wish to take the file out and reimport it into the Aeros, you should not cut the file, leave the 360 samples intact The Aeros also has an import function since version 5.0.3! Learn more here: ru-vid.comEImQOyUl328?feature=share Thanks for the feedback!
@@SingularSoundOfficial Just for clarification, I can import the Aeros track, modify it with effects in the DAW, save the modified file in the DAW and import it without trimming the original Aeros or modified file? Thanks
This is pretty hands free, and all behaviors of the footswitches are always written clearly on top of the buttons. This was not a problem for me! You might need to go in the inside settings to setup the quantization or synchronization settings before playing, but that's the downside of having a looper that can do a lot - you can't have only 3 buttons and expect it ti do all the complex things without a bit of menu diving.
Hey Antoine!
Got the Gold version on your recommendation. Im having overdubs mute automatically and other bugs like muting not working. I almost love it but I think gotta send it back. I could not depend on this onstage in its current form. Do you use it live? I might try the boomerang. Thanks for all the videos.
@@EndaReilly Hey there, thanks for posting about this! We have a fix for this bug coming asap, it has been fixed in the currently tested version! More news very soon!
Just want to add that I got a refund from @singularsoundofficial with no problems and for now I've gone with the boomerang 3 which is working great for my needs live on stage. thx again for all the videos.
