In 1970, Aerosmith's first line-up was formed when vocalist Steven Tyler met guitarist Joe Perry while working at the Sunapee ice cream parlor in New Hampshire. Perry then decided to form a trio band with bassist Tom Hamilton, with Steven Tyler initially filling in the drum parts early in their formation. the band expanded and added a second guitarist named Ray Tabano, but he was soon replaced by Brad Whitford, a former member of a band called Earth Inc. then they added drummer Joey Kramer, and Tyler switched to vocals.
