My life in 1993. Wake up go to school. Come back home at 3 and watch Disney Cartoons like Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin and then later Ninja Turtles. Do homework and then dinner. Watch MTV videos and at 10 pm The Real World. My point is....the 90s was awesome.

I remember listening to this song while driving to Florida in the 1990's, on route 95, at 90 mph, in my 94 Chevy Blazer, with the volume of my cassette player at 90%, playing this song over and over and over again (probably 90 times). It's a 90's driving song in so many ways :)

My dad left me and my Mom for another woman when I was 6 months old. I saw my mom doing it all alone. The strongest person I know. Through pain and suffering and sadness, I am her only love. I just turned 16 in April. No contact with dad ever, not even paying maintenance. Moms my everything. Thank you mom.

Coolest thing about this era of Aerosmith for me personally, was that they went from being one of my dad's bands in his generation, to becoming one of MY biggest bands in MY generation. Which is an insane feat they pulled off, by becoming extremely relevant in two different eras. I grew up on the classic Aerosmith albums ,from their debut to around Draw The Line from my dad always playing their cassettes and STILL love that classic dirty era with a passion. I was listening to albums like Get Your Wings and Toys In The Attic at the time right before Pump was about to bust loose, probably around when I was 5 or 6. But then came Get a Grip and it hit right as I began discovering my own bands and it sounded like a different Aerosmith altogether. Like I said, they went from being his band to mine lol

I remember being a lil kid like 4 years old and watching my uncle listen to this song thinking my uncle was the coolest because he had the signature "AEROSMITH" hair. I love that he showed me such a classic song, I love it even more as an adult and I actually understand the meaning.

2024 i still think this is the best music video ever. When this came out, i was living this story. Ugh.

I was 15 when this song came out... and for the people watching who are a lot younger than me, let me say: it was a simpler time. No cell phones, no prolific computer presence in our lives, no social media or 24 hour news cycle. There was an anonymity to public life & there was a lot more spontaneity to every day life, even though it moved slower.

Interesting fact: This song is written using JoHann Pachelbel’s Canon D chord progressions, written 300 years ago, but this song begins on the 3rd chord in the progression. (I think it’s the 3rd anyway) I apologize if I’m wrong on that. “It is a beautiful and satisfying progression with a perfect loop.” I listen with loop setting on. Once is not enough
