this is such an amazing analysis, it definitely gave me a clearer perspective I've been diving deep into petra collins' work because it's just so unique and I'm so amazed with the amount of thought that goes into every single detail

This is amazing! The aesthetic of this video is so brilliant, idk what editing software you use (I imagine adobe) but the video is so pretty to watch. Your editing is brilliant as well I love how the clips you use match your voiceover. Love the content of this and what you’re talking about. I adore that you touched on Petra Collins, cultural appropriation, celebrity culture, tributes to YK2 fashion and symbolism - such a variety of interesting content. You talk so well on these points. I barely know any of these references and it was so cool to learn about them. Your analysis of how ballet represents the unrealistic standards of beauty and pose for women is so on point. The ballet scene also reminds me of the music video scene in “Shake it Up” by Taylor Swift, which also has a similar message. Very happy I’m subscribed. Keen for more video essays and parallel edits!
