Difficulty 2/5 = EASY! Just need a few materials and little patience for drying time :)
Materials:
- Vase (or anything else you might like to mosaic)
- 'trinkets', I used shells, broken travertine, glass, beads, stones and broken jewelry
- silicone and silicone dispenser
- grout, any colour you like
- grouting sponge
- plastic containers to mix grout and one to fill with water for sponge
- cloth to polish off grout residue
What to do:
1. use silicone to stick all of your 'trinkets' to your piece
2. allow to dry for 24 hours
3. mix your grout. I added the powder first and then small amounts of water until i got a paste like consistency (thick enough to fill the gaps and hand pack)
4. dip your grouting sponge in water, squeeze and gently wipe excess grout to smooth
5. dry for 24 hours
6. dip your clean cloth in water and use it to gently polish back grout residue
7. you're done! Time to gift/enjoy your aesthetic DIY
