It really was. Just an absolute blast to play beginning to finish. It's been so long since I played a game that didn't make me feel obligated to care about some poorly written story that only exists to serve as a framing device for me shooting people

I’m in love with the chapter thing, more creators need to use it, especially for longer videos. I just hope there will be some kind of semi regular uploading. Even if it’s only quarter yearly.
The subtle choice to put much of the video in 4:3 resolution in reference to the retro-futuristic style of the game is one of the many small things to appreciate in these videos.

Best far cry is 5, u intelectual. Have u been flying with the plane? I hope u play with HUD disabled, so u can experience every rock and not know where they are shooting from, very entertaining
@@SuperOvidiuMihai From what i've herd, far cry 5 have it's strong side's but also have some cons, mostly in terms of weapons in that game. I personaly think Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is just the best, of the series, if only it got sequel like Far Cry 4, which took everything from the previous game and made it better to hit the ideal formula.
Far Cry 5 would be so much better if you never had to see any HUD elements or the world map with checklists and those f***ing villan bars that you have to fill up

Watched all three of these in a row, your style and voice are killer man, I hope there’s more videos coming up. I understand that these take killer effort though, they’re works of art in it of itself. An homage to the games and to the topics you discuss. Way more than I anticipated from aesthetic takes on games. This is amazing to have found, I’m glad that this was a channel that came up in a recommended footnote at the bottom of a space engineers video.
I found this channel very recently and was pleasantly surprised by it. I watched your Far Cry 2, 3 and Blood Dragon videos in a row and went to check your channel for more and found that those videos were your only ones. I have to say you did great on the Far Cry series and I'm excited to see more. I can't wait to see this channel grow.
My god, I don't think I've seen a video about games at that detail in terms of aesthetic, instant sub mate. I think games like the far cry 2, 3, 4, and blood dragon, some of the call of duty games, and the metro trilogy (2033, last light, and exodus) excel in terms of aesthetic. looking forward to the modern warfare. keep up the good work

This is crazy. Gems like these are why I love RU-vid. You just don't find this anywhere else. The amount of work is astonishing and outperforms pretty much every other RU-vidr I know in Terms of Quality and the actual content in the video. You managed to talk from 20 minutes to over an hour about a topic without letting it seem boring or bad edited. It just looked and felt nice. This is podcast length with an actual documentary quality. I do not comment often but I really really encourage you to keep going with this channel because you really have the potential. I'm looking forward to more videos!

Great video on my favorite Far Cry. I remember finding your video on Far Cry 2 and being completely surprised it was your first upload, i thought i just stumbled across another analysis channel that already had a decent following. Your editing skills and overall video quality is top notch. Regarding the end of the video, Dead Space and Stalker would be cool to see you do. Have you considered doing any of the Max Payne or Dark Souls games? Looking forward to that Modern Warfare video, keep it up!
Thanks for the compliment. That Far Cry 2 video took quite some time to make and script went through significant changes. Forgot to mention Max Payne, I plan to do all three. Oh man, Dark Souls are really aesthetic, but pretty challenging, it would take quite some time to get the footage. But I'll do Sekiro for sure.

I thought FC3 was too self-serious and that the only interesting character was Vaas. I loved Blood Dragon way more. The soundtrack absolutely slaps, characters are hilarious and the tone is utterly insane. They really should’ve made another one.
Just finished watching all three of your video essays on the Far Cry series. Really fantastic content, very thoughtful. If I had one criticism it would be that you could slow the pace down a bit, have a bit more of a pause between each point in order to give us more time to absorb/process what you're saying and to help draw a clear line between one topic and the next.
Saw that back in the day when the videos came out and now checking them again honestly, I thought your channel was going to blow up with such quality and care, truly and underrated gem deserving of a lot more appreciation for such a good work.

Your analysis is great! I played since far cry 3 and I must admit, even without paying attention to the story, the world of far cry has always been interesting to me in how they attempt to tell a story, some obviously more interesting than others. yet another great video! for some reason whenever I play the Xen chapters of black mesa, I end up drawing comparisons between it and blood dragon, both can be quite over the top! needless to say, I look forward to the Modern Warfare video!

Wow. I watched your FC2 breakdown and now this (I'll save FC3 for later) and I must say, god damn you're a ginious. It's not just a description, you talk about what devs implemented, why, how, with what effect, in a tight and exhausting monologue that wastes none of the viewers time. I'm interested in game design so watching your FC2 breakdown felt like a must to me, but I think anyone, no matter of their interests, should see that video. You don't talk about games as if they were just games, you see the art in them. I just can't describe how happy I feel finding a channel this valuable and interesting. Good job. btw. I think the Crysis series would be an interesting study as well. (I wish crytek would show the protagonist's symbiosis with the Ceph a bit better)

FC3: Blood dragon is one of my favorite video games of all time and I almost changed my mind because my friends kept saying the original far cry 3 was better but they never tried this. This isn't better than far cry 3 but I do believe it is more fun. And because it is more fun see you analyze just what about it is so fun and clicks so well made my day. Thanks kind sir.
I'm not a man who likes art pieces. I don't look at a painting and see the story or motivation behind it. But videos like the 3 you've made on the Far Cry series have made me realize the amount of thought, effort, and story behind everything placed into a story, game, or movie.
