Danielson powering through the kicks talking about his family and Swerve literally brushing off the knee was like something out of a Shonen wrestling anime
This was literally AEW's WrestleMania and I loved every fucking second of it. And the ending had me tear up. What an ending. Seeing history repeat itself after a decade was a phenomenal move. Not better than WrestleMania but preety close to. AEW cooked hard 🔥
Well, the reason why Hook is solely on the FTW title is because his dad, Tazz, made the title and Hook wanted to carry his dad's legacy - like how a proud son would.
That's not good storytelling. If you want a good father son story. Look at Dom and Rey. Nuff said. AEW will accept anything Tony Khan feeds them. Pathetic
I don't really get the comparison between WWE and aew ppv. I like 99% of wrestling fans grew up on wwe style of tv wrestling thats more about the tv storylines rather than wrestling and the nuances about it being a staged sports entertainment event are kinda clear even to kids now a days. Whereas aew feels more competitive wrestling at its peak rather than teleporting tracksuit undertaker, fragile referees, obvious staged finishes and ntheenth thousand outside interference leading to finisher 123 type of finish. With aew atleast the in ring story isnt as staged and wrestlers dont look like theyre going through the motions like Danielson omega MJF or Ospreay when its peak.
It’s ok not peak you see that style of wrestling at like 3 other promotions. Have been watching this style of wrestling for about what 12 plus years now maybe longer when the Bullet Club brought eyes to NJPW wit Finn Bad luck Fale and Machine Gun. So to say something is peak 🤔 how? Other companies do it to the same level
Brit Baker didn’t look like she was going through the motions. Mone isn’t trash 🗑️? Bro MFJ I love him but the shoot promo stuff not getting old like can we be real both companies WWE and AEW have their problems but AEW has a lot to learn.
AEW and WWE are the same, except with a different budget and legacy. People who call AEW more wrestling focused and WWE more story focused have not watched other wrestling shows and I think it's a lazy analysis.
All in London was amazing It was the first aew show I watched fully and was not disappointed I started pouring my eyes out when BD made his entrance with the final countdown but wrestlemania 40 was on god god mode
I definitely see Jamie hater being champion again because it felt like she was supposed to have a very long rain but unfortunately injuries prevented that hopefully she is recovered enough to where she can have a very long title rain
I’m happy for AEW fans. The non-toxic ones. I’m glad they got a good show. I’m noticing a lot of bandwagoning from wrestling content creators though. JDfromNY is the worst one of all. I’ve never seen so much glaze in my life. The guy shit on AEW everyday leading up to All In and how “AEW has no storyyy, there’s no fuckin storyyyy!!” Just to turn around and say “one thing about AEW? They always have storyyyy!” I typed that with a New York accent. Facts are facts. AEW isn’t competing with WWE. AEW is competing with NXT and TNA. I’m sure All In was better than anything NXT and TNA has done. Wrestlemania though? No. And the whole “AEW isn’t competing with WWE” came directly from AEW fans. One of their main shows only had 1,000 people in attendance, someone pointed it out and mentioned WWE and was met with responses from AEW fans saying ”oh man AEW’s a start up company you can’t compare the two!!!” If we can’t compare them then; we can’t compare them now. Js. Again, non-toxic AEW fans: I’m glad it was fun 👏
The thing is... WrestleMania 40 has overall balance of good matches and phenomenal conclusions to epic storylines and it felt so so grand! AEW All Out 2024 really lacks stakes because the storylines aren't that strong but the matches blows WM40's matches out of the water. They are intense and raw in an epic way. So for me WM40 is the overall better grand event but it's not to say All Out 2024 slacks either.
Good take. But All In had some good stories going in it too. Most notably, Mariah vs Storm, Swerve vs Danielson, Ospreay vs MJF. WM 40 was HUGELY carried by Cody and the Bloodline story, and there is no story that can top that and no match that can top that night 2 main event imo. That's what gives WM 40 the edge for me. But this All In was much better than last year's and is second best PPV this year for me.
Usually that is the case, but all in was special interims of story line. May and Toni had a amazing storyline going in which had a lot of emotional stakes, swerve’s versus Bryan like every Swerve feud was intensely personal. Just the career versus title stipulation alone added a lot of drama. And while the MJF and will story was eh, the Tiger driver storyline finally got it’s conclusion. Which was built for months in the making
Here are my AEW All In Star Ratings based on my Opinion: AEW Trios Championship Ladder Match - 3.75 STARS Mariah May vs Toni Storm (AEW Women's Championship)- 4.25 STARS HOOK vs Chris Jericho (FTW Championship) - 1.5 STARS Young Bucks vs The Acclaimed vs FTR (AEW Tag Team Championship) - 3.5 STARS Casino Gauntlet Match - 4 STARS Will Ospreay vs MJF (International Championship) 3.5 STARS Mercedes Mone vs Britt Baker (TBS Championship) 2.5 STARS Jack Perry vs Darby Allin (TNT Championship) - 3 STARS Bryan Danielson vs Swerve Strickland (AEW Championship) 4.75 STARS The Show Overall - 7.5/10 👍
PAC is not the sub-in to Danielson Claudio and Yuta were the sub-in to Penta and Fenix but it still makes sense since PAC was the one who had more problems with Bullet Club Gold and also teamed up with BCC like a year ago for Blood and Guts
WM 40 was a great show Aew All in was a great show I love both overall no dabate what you just seen is two companies putting on what have to be the best ppv shows of 2024 both was a success both had amazing story telling is amazing to be a wrestling fan because I’ve enjoyed them both and I hope we see more like this down the road
I thought jack perry vs darby allin was absolutely fantastic. Just shy of 5 stars. Sure. It was a little abrupt. And a little rough. But I see that as a good thing. What you had was a fantastic match between MJ. F. VS will osprey. And a fantastic. Match between swerve and danielsen. And in between was that nice pallet cleanser with the butchering of Darby Allen. Usually when someone gets their hands tied, they usually get out of it and win the match. No, bro, that s***'s unrealistic. This felt very realistic. And just. Watch. Darby Allen's gonna take a break. And once he comes back, he's gonna be an all new Darby ready to win the world championship.
WWE has longer story lines, aew has longer matches. All in was definitely better than WM 40 night 1, and everything in night 2 except for Cody’s match. That might be match of the year.
Let’s not get carried away. The show wasn’t even that great aside from the toni storm match, mjf ospreay, and the aew championship match. Sting’s return was sick
Lol I Legit thought Christian's theme was gonna play after the pyros went off and he was gonna cash in his contract there and then. If that happened, ALL IN 2024 WOULD have been the Christian Cage show. I'm pretty sure Bryan would get the belt back at Wrestle Dream in his hometown.
Toni acting happy and dancing was stupid i know it is her character but losing your title in the biggest show after having great match and you are happy suddenly
SummerSlam 2024 was the beginning of Triple H’s inevitable face-plant, he’s only had the book about 2 years now, & just like when AEW & NXT went head-to-head, after about 2 years, a lot of blind spots popped up The top titles don’t matter in WWE again (Roman cares more about Bloodline stuff than who ended his record breaking reign, Liv & Rhea are feuding over Dom, Nia is keeping her title warm for Tiffany, tag belts cold, LA Knight just won a belt Logan Paul treated like a paperweight) Stables have dominated the storytelling to the point we’re seeing The Bloodline & JD in a simultaneous break-up/recast arc LWO Vortex keeps opening & closing Jade, Bianca & Naomi are constantly thrown in each others orbit as a collective because outside of Bianca, creative has no intent to give them significant creative pushes And Cody is becoming a broken record & starting to look like he’s holding a belt for a story that won’t kick in until 2025 Sure, the company’s hotter than ever, but creatively everything looks untenable & kinda existing in excess. Not to mention all the rewrites/halted pushes from constantly signing AEW burnouts lol, It’s about to be months of Ricky Starks vs (insert NXT/main roster midcard jobber)
ALL IN is the best PPV of 2024. All the matches were exceptional. If you put the matches in WM and All In head to head, All In almost destroy the whole match card in WM 40 except for the Rock/Roman vs Cody/Seth and Cody vs Roman. I will pick Ospreay vs MJF than Sami Zayn vs Gunther. I will the Trios Ladder Match over the Pride vs Final Testament.
I wish I liked AEW'a vibe because this sounds like a good show. Idk I genuinely just never have fun watching AEW. I genuinely get bored watching the weeklies and I am NOT paying that much for a PPV in 2024. The closest I was is when Punk was there. Vibe felt right then. But to me that was the last time.
WM40s main event is so overrated, idk why people glaze that match crazy when it was nothing but fan-service in the most predictable way possible. Roman/Cody at Mania 39 was miles better (minus the awful ending of course)
I'm going to say this Britt Baker vs CEO was rushed and no one's going to care about it. The three-way tag match multiple times you're going to get bored and no one cares about The learning tree
Every match had a story which you'd know if you watch the shows and it was better than wm bc the matches got enough times (not like a few wm matches which didn't even go 8 minutes so the Main Event can go 1 hour) and FTR vs The Acclaimed vs Bucks was 🔥 imo but aight and did you really not mention that the Grizzled Young Veterans challenged the Young Bucks afterwards and that Daniel García made his return to stop MJF from cheating?
Bro this show was complete trash besides what 3 matches lmao. How can you call this good. Screw mania and screw all in . Wrestling fans will call anything good
@@parisbeech2180 Nah Man, that's childish. Why can't we just enjoy both? I like F1 and Rally, both are car related but I would never compare since it is not the same. Do the same, it's easier 😆
SummerSlam was clearly not all hits. Other than Logan Paul vs LA Knight and Gunther vs Damian Priest, every match on this show was mediocre to decent. What saved the show was the fantastic story progression of most of the feuds and Reigns' return. I can't see how it is better than All In at all.
What's wrong with y2j bro? "Y2j" in his debut win the WWF Undisputed championship during the Attitude Era and against whom?? Against the pepole's champion by himself "The Rock", iam also a WWE fan but iam just tired of Triple H boring, childish kiddo booking that literally had two adult grown ass man wrestlers fighting over "a bracelet" Brooooo, Really? What the?? So pepole's were right, honestly, AEW All in 2024 last night was better than Summerslam!!
7/10, really good show. 1. Swerve V Danielson 2. CEO v DMD 3. MJF v Ospraey / Storm v Mariah Side note: the trios match was a fun watch, I didn't think it was the best, but it was fun.
Not in my opinion Was some great parts but some very weak parts why have four pile-drivers in one match Belts were way to low in ladder match Coffin match was far from good Mone was not good Casino match was nice Mjf was okay World women's title match was very fun World title match was fantastic Swerve no selling made for a great moment Jericho and hook was decent
Better than mania hell no Im not a fan of Swerve losing. He still had heeellla momentum . I don’t think him losing the belt does anything for him or Danielson especially since he’s retiring soon… I like alot on this show as far as moments but idk how it will play out in the long run and im not a fan of the short title reigns it just makes the belts feel like they are being passed around. The matches are perfect however. Like match quality is always insane But im not a fan of all the results and booking decisions for the company moving forward. Im just conditioned to like long term storytelling.
Seriously, how many times are we going through AEW ? The king of ppv to AEW is boring and sucks seriously. Pick a struggle. WWE is better than AEW and Sooplex has to take that with a grain of salt
Am I the only one who feels like this show wasn’t all that it was good but I seen better from wwe and Aew the only matches imo that’s are worth rewatching are Toni vs Mariah, mjf vs will, and the main event everything else is decent to good but nothing special overall I give this show 7.5/10 last year show washes this year no way it better mania not even better than summerslam imo
I'll be very honest man i feel the same thing too. But mania this year is crap except cody vs roman the rest of the matches are crap to the point the only matches i remember is seth vs drew and gunther vs zami thats it. If i have to choose overall i choose all in for this year not that i like aew its just that i feel like wwe now adays are making their matches boring and concentrating more on story which is really annoying at times. I want wwe to allow moves that aew allows like pile driver, tiger driver 91 that will uses thats insane. You look at aew matches you are like wow you look at wwe you are like mehh, you look at aew story you are like mehh and wwe storylines are better. But for godsake triple h pls turn wwe into attitude era again cus this pg era sucks
These are just the Saudi shows but for aew, skippable spectacles that could easily have been regular us ppvs. At least wwe has a massive money deal behind those shows
