AEW looks like one of the greatest companies in the world to work for. Not just one of the greatest wrestling companies, but one of the greatest companies overall.
Huge respect to AEW for doing this. When these tough wrestlers open up and be honest about their struggles, that shows that the rest of us can do so as well. Thank you for showing us getting help isn't an embarrassment or shameful. On the contrary, it's the best thing to do.
Eddie Kingston has talked about mental health on a fairly regular basis over the course of his career, definitely one of the realest in the business and one of my personal favorites for sure
Yes! Both Bunny and Eddie have been very vocal with Bunny in her vlog and even Eddie crashing Sammy's panel during Fan Fest because the passing of Daphne had just occurred.
Eddie very quickly became one of my favorites just for how real he is. All the wrestling stuff aside, I always admire how honest he's willing to be about things most people are uncomfortable talking about. That's true strength that should never be underestimated.
Seeing how y'all treated Moxley's absence with respect and how open and vocal Kingston in particular has been about mental health was the inspiration I needed to get back onto medication for my depression in the last few weeks. Mental health is health, and I'm glad it's being talked about without stigma.
First, love your username that’s really unique! Mental Health is truly special and I’m happy you’re taking the steps forward to be a stronger version of you.
I have so much respect for AEW for this, so many large companies want to hide it and will almost discourage workers discussing mental health because it doesn't look good on them and they are worried about downtime of workers. For AEW to go in this direction is fantastic.
@@saj8 and she's gone on record to say that AEW wasn't the cause of her bad mental state. She did the same with impact. Don't be snarky if you don't have the facts.
As someome who has been struggle with mental health, depression and anxiety my whole life. I'm incrediby proud of what AEW is doing. Love you guys. Huge respect and admiration for this company and people part of it.
This is huge, especially for such a male dominated business. This would have never been talked about before and for AEW and it's stars to do so, speaks volumes of the company and it's culture. This, this is the reason AEW is different and better! You've gained a bigger fan and my respect
Thanks AEW for doing this. I suffered with depression for about 2 years. I had loved ones that I didn’t tell and I’ve only just told my girlfriend about it. I used to eat my feelings but I found solace at the gym. I’m healthier, stronger and more mentally stable now thanks to the gym and my girlfriend
For people who struggle with Mental health, Reach out, you aren't alone. You have people who love, respect and care about you. Even if you aren't struggling personally but you know someone who does, reach out to them and just have a conversation, check on them, take them out, do something to make them feel like they matter. Because they do.
i started taking medication at 13 for depression, anxiety, and OCD. it felt like I was weak and incapable but hearing the stories of people i looked up to gave me the courage to start getting better. im now 19, in school for psychology, off meds and in a much better place mentally but i wouldnt be here without those people talking about these issues candidly. you all are being that person for someone out there by talking about this. thank you all so much.
I dont understand the struggle personally but hope and have much empathy for those that have struggles and try to be of support we are all in life together
@@coinzy for me, the meds were helping me get to a point where i could find help in therapy and different programs. when i had gotten the help and done the work to get myself to a better place i started coming off the meds. i had been on a really high dose as well and the docs were planning on lowering it after i went through an OCD program anyways, so once i started coming down in doses it just kept progressing. i was really lucky to get good help and to have recovery be an option, bc i know for some people meds can be a lifelong thing which is also great! its really a personal journey and i still go to therapy and have meds as an option if i need it in the future!
Thank you for this. I lost my father to suicide in 2018 and it was heavily related to how little he took care about his mental health. Mental Health needs to be spoken about more and I hope this video gets people who need it to evaluate their mental health.
NGL, as someone who's struggled with mental health for many decades this literally bought a tear to my eye. Thank you AEW for being willing to bring this stuff up. It will literally save lives.
The fact that even today many people don't even consider mental health as a real issue is a shame. As a person with recurrent depression and anxiety issues, this sort of videos warm my heart.
@🚫AEW WILL FAIL🔻 your name says everything about you, just leave RU-vid brother. Acting or not, the message was delivered and if this video help someone, I'm glad they did it.
@@gabrielripw0lf293 And this is not the first time I've seen you trolling around here. You're a pretty horrible person projecting his "hater" status onto other people. You do need help if this is what you consider a good time.
@🚫AEW WILL FAIL🔻 You are truly a sad person, preying on the happiness of others to feel good about yourself. I think you shoul take the advise of these talents and seek some help for your self esteem issues.
@🚫AEW WILL FAIL🔻 I think you are one of the people who need help. Possibly more than those did in the video. Seek out help. Lashing out is normal, but not trying to get better is only going to make it worse. Hope life goes well for you
AEW got me through the height of the pandemic, im a mother to a child that has several diagnoses, and the isolation of the lockdown made him worse....but AEW was that little Ray of light that kept me strong enough to keep my child going...I've lost people these past two years that didn't have the light to walk them through the darkness....if you feel you need to talk..Do ....you're never alone ❤💙
wow. over the last 2 years I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression so much to the point where I almost ended my own life. AEW has numbed my depression so many times and basically saved me. Seeing y’all open up about mental health and not ignore it makes me extreamly happy. Thank you so much.
fighting major depressions over the last 10 years as a male nurse, covid only made it worse and ill take some years off as soon as this pandemic is under real control.
Props to AEW for putting together a video of something that I needed as far back as 2002. This came off as real and I can relate in some form or fashion ☺️
nurses have been the unsung heroes of the past 2 years. thank you for all you’re doing and i hope you can take time to heal and give yourself the time you deserve after all this is over
Oh my God, much condolences to Powerhouse Hobbs and his entire family. 😭 The tragedies he has gone through are so painful. Much love to Hobbs and everyone who spoke about this. ❤ Be strong. We're always there for you guys. Now it will be impossible for me to hate Hobbs even in kayfabe.
This is just more proof that AEW is a family not only amongst themselves but to us as fans as well. Thank you so much to all of AEW for not only the performances you do but the genuine love y’all express.
For a wrestling fan here in Bangladesh, it's not easy to follow AEW live. I try however I can afterwards and one thing shines through and through and one of the reasons I go through all the trouble to follow AEW from here is not only for the excellent wrestling that they put out but also the way they treat their wrestlers and in turn built up fan equity. Videos like this one only makes me appreciate AEW more and thank you for encouraging people to seek mental help. If big tough men and women in wrestling need it, so do we.
I’ve suffered with depression, anxiety and imposter issues for years, it’s so refreshing to see this being spoken about so openly and candidly. Thank you all. And to all you in the comments, stay strong, we’re not alone.
Blade and Dax really hit me. These two stereotypical "manly men" opening up about their mental health really shows that it doesn't matter who you are, mental health issues affect most people in some way.
Ryan Nemeth is one of the best pick ups by AEW and it's not even because of his skills as a wrestler, but as a person. Helping organize this and being open about things other wrestlers might stay silent about make me respect the hell out of the guy.
I really need this today. Been having a rough time, especially with the holidays. AEW just continues to re-confirm why I have believed in this company since day one. I’ll continue to support you guys, in any way that I can. So much love for you all ❣️
At the end of every AEW show (Dark Elevation, Dark, Dynamite and Rampage), they are people too who have struggled in life and decided to seek help. Getting help does not make anyone weak. Getting help shows they want to be better and remove that dark cloud that hangs over their heads. Thank you for telling your stories, AEW family. God bless you.
I love that you’re doing this. Thank you to everyone who shared. Openness is the key to getting rid of stigma, and we need to get to a situation where talking about your brain’s health is as common as any other part of your health. As those stigmas still exist (though they’re lessening), I truly appreciate the courage of everyone who spoke out. I hope you’re all doing as well as you can.
This is why AEW is the future of wrestling. This is what makes it the best. Putting out content like this shows it cares for the wrestlers and the fans. Positive vibes to all.
Thank you so much AEW for taking a step towards making awareness about mental health. Be strong everyone and always seek help when you feel it is needed. This video made me so emotional. Please share this video with as many people as you can guys; be kind like it's a competition and never take stuff for granted. ❤
Thank you for this AEW and just another reason why you are great overall. Much respect to you 🙏. If you are suffering in any way what so ever NEVER hesitate to seek help.
You aren't alone, it won't always be easy but remember that you're important, you matter and you are loved. Much love to everybody reading this ♡ Mental health is important, reach out and dont be afraid to speak about it!
I'm a retired military combat veteran. I have experienced the loss of some of my fellow vets to suicide because they were too afraid of the stigma that might be attached to them if they were to ask for help. I watched them go through hell in Afghanistan, only to be defeated at home. Thank you AEW for showing that even the toughest of our society might be the most in need of understanding and compassion.
Ryan & AEW I am thrilled that I was able to help spread this message with you all! Ryan thank you for trusting in ACE Studios to capture this heartfelt message :) We are always happy & here to help.
Seeing The Blade, a big guy with a magnificent beard who looks like he could crush anybody with one hand talk about his mental health issues really helps get the point across that literally anyone can have these problems. They are not exclusive to anyone, you are not “weak” for having them, and anyone can and should seek help if they’re struggling. Amazing video! Goddamn I love AEW.
When I see content like this, it makes me like AEW more as a wrestling promotion. Mental health is no joke. It happens to the best of us and there is nothing wrong in asking for help. Those who say that getting help makes you weak, they are the real problem in life. Whoever is having a bad time and is getting support right now, I applaud for going on the right track and things will get better for you. Anyone who has not asked for support yet, please do shy away, get the help necessary and start to turn your life around.
It's the people who don't have a mental illness which make it a joke. Does anyone really believe someone who wants to commit suicide would want to reach out? No, they don't. The ones who reach out about suicide are attention seekers to abuse the system to get more drugs. What people should be doing is asking there friends if they are ok, how they are going and what not and actually listen, even a random person you barely know. You would be surprised how saying such a small thing can have a dramatic effect on someones life. Depression and anxiety are natural and everyone has different ways to cope and deal with it. Some just go overboard because we're all unique and the world would be boring if we were all the same. I honestly believe majority of mental help like psychiatrists and councillors are nothing but a ponzy scheme to take advantage of the ones who are actually sick because it's easy.
This is incredibly inspiring. And Huge props to AEW for putting this out. It goes to show you, at the end of the day, wrestlers are humans just like us fans, And face all the issues we face. Infact they are more vulnerable to physical and mental health issues than Most, because of all the things go through to produce the shows that we all love.
👏 it is great to see that people are taking this seriously and talking about it. Mental health is manageable. There are ups and downs but one step at a time. Ask for help is a great start.
Thank you for this, AEW, this was much needed for the pro wrestling community as a whole. Hearing stories, especially from people like Vickie Guerrero, and knowing and being able to relate to their experiences from my personal side and growing up watching wrestlers who struggled like Guerrero and Benoit. Depression and any other mental illnesses are just as serious as the physical appearance of the character you see in the ring, so I'm glad this company, despite being fairly new to the industry, is taking these things seriously. P.S. I'm not really the Waterboy, just a huge fan like everyone else.
Another reason I have so much respect for AEW. This is very helpful, been working on myself for so long after losing my mom in august, got out of toxic relationship and working on my relationship with my kids as they experienced it with me, which is my fault and I'm willing to spend my the rest of my life getting us through this. Thanks AEW for this, made my day
Nice to see AEW promote mental health awareness. It's such an important topic and something we all find ourselves struggling with in some moment of our lives. It doesn't matter about size and doesn't just matter about just being built confident and a presence on the outside, what matters is that we keep ourselves well on the inside as well, and if we aren't, then it's important we are able to show the courage to seek help. It's wonderful to see all those stars share their stories especially the likes of Will Hobbs, Vickie Guerrero, Dax, Ryan Nemmeth and the Blade speak out.
Always important to hear this stuff from people who have an influence over young people, respect. Also no clue how anyone could dislike this video, but hope everyone that needs help gets it, everyone needs it sometimes 👊🏻❤️
This brought tears to my eyes. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety to the point it’s crippling sometimes. I constantly feel like I’m alone, but to hear people I respect make me feel like I’m not alone moved me. This was amazing.
Kudos to all these people opening up. Very difficult. And great to see those you think have no issues are just people too who have mental health struggles from time to time like all of us. Love AEW.
Knowing you're struggling and seeking help is a sign of strength to me. Letting unresolved issues derail your life due to a refusal to deal with them is the true weakness. Thanks aew for putting this out. Stuff like this is why I love the company so much! Knowing tk has given people time off to get help just shows the video is more than just good pr for real problems.
I just switched medication, and it's a bitch the first week. But watching AEW keeps me distracted when I'm having a though time. But this had me in tears, seeing my heroes have the same struggles as me makes me wanna kick my depressions ass even more. Thanks for this video!
Thank you AEW for sharing this, its not easy sharing what you're going through but when its shared it sends a message that you're not alone and lets help one another raise each other up and talk to each other. Love you all
Thank you, AEW. Thank you for this, as it massively helps show that mental health problems don't make you weak, but getting help makes you stronger. I am so grateful we have a company like this, and it's so wholesome seeing this video. It's a great feeling knowing our favorites and everyone involved in general are healthy, and genuinely happy.
Battling PTSD and bipolar, I completely related to this on every level. Thank you, as a fan, yes, but as someone who's been there. I was scared to ask for help. I thought I could do everything myself. Now I see how much having those around me know what I'm battling and support me means. Thank you AEW.
Ty so much for posting this video. I myself suffer from depression, high anxiety and confidence issues. To hear people like Blade who suffer from what I have, just makes me feel I am not alone. Thank You AEW!!!!
I know how hard this can be as I have experienced it my self during major part of 2020&2021. I used to gamble a lot cos of this depression. It was a really hard time loosing myself and a lot of money. Thanks a lot to AEW for the amazing content over the years which has helped me majorly to come out of it. Really appreciate this Video!
Thank you so much for talking about mental health. I’m a wrestler and before getting in to the business, I was diagnosed with bipolar depression and was afraid of how people would see me with that being known. However, with AEW contributing the conversation about mental health, I feel it helps those with mental health issues and sets an example. You’ve emphasized that we are not alone, thank you so much for this.
As a suicide survivor of 5 years this means so much to me but not just me but others who are struggling aswell. To see the stars of AEW talk about mental health is huge. To anyone reading this comment you got this. AEW are more than just a wrestlig company there a family :) Really has cheered me up seeing this as been struggling with a few inner demons aswell
Thank you everyone for doing this, and thank you AEW for giving them the platform to do so. It took going into the military, and eventually coming out of with PTSD to truly understand the importance of mental health. Take care of one another, I've known and have known many people who did not address their mental health as they should have.
There are far too many people, especially men, who are raised to believe reaching out for help with mental health is a sign of weakness. I believe this video, with messages from all of these strong individuals, is going to help save so many people. Thank you, AEW. I'm so proud to be a fan of you all.
It's very true , even if you are not a " big tough guy" there's something ingrained in men (at least me) that you can NEVER show weakness and for me, I always try to put everyone on my back , whether they are down or just need help. But when you do that , it bring you down if that isn't reciprocated and then you can have lots of internal doubts and questions . Why weren't they there for me like I was for them ? Don't they care about me ? Does anyone give a damn about me ? Should I give a damn about myself or anything ? And then it can spiral fast . I think if we all accept the fact that we are human and not perfect , BUT if you try your best and try to be a good person to others , even if it's difficult, it can go a long long way in overcoming a lot of self imposed mental obstacles and is a key step towards finding if not happiness , at least a sense of realization and fulfillment
Thanks AEW and wrestlers for sharing this video and your stories. Mental Health is always overlooked by people and companies but you guys are different cause you all prioritize mental health and take action on it
I can relate to this issue. As I have struggles with depression and PTSD. I'm currently taking medication and therapy treatments for them. Thank you for sharing this with us. Blessings. 💕
Been taking meds since I was 5 years old for Depression, Anxiety, and ADHD. I'm 38 now. Calling it tough is an understatement, but I'm proud of how far I've come. And I'm happy to have a great system of support.
having went through a nearly year-long period of depression back in 2010 and then checking into a mental hospital a couple of years later, i am glad i got help as i'm on meds but feel ok about it. i lost my dad a couple of years ago as it allowed me to get away from a lot of negativity that had been around me in my 20s and 30s as i'm about to turn 41 and feeling fine. i'm glad that there's a company like AEW who don't just take mental health seriously but also wrestlers and personnel to connect with people who also have similar struggles so thank you AEW.
Massive respect to AEW for this. To the stars involved in the video, thank you. 💛 It took my whole life to ask for help; I struggled with depression from early teen years. Then my daughter was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago, and the anxiety, PTSD and depression that followed for me, as her parent - that nearly tipped me over the edge. I should have reached out sooner - but doing so saved my life. 🎗
An heart felt 💓 video 📹 thanks Aew 😊🙏 for sharing. Everyone needs help. So pray 🙏for the ones who have mental health problems thank you and God Bless 🙌you all.
I was diagnosed with a disorder over 30 years ago, and I underwent counseling for a long time. I'm strongly considering going back to counseling after more than a decade away from it, all the divisiveness in the world can weigh on anybody's well being. If more people focused on their mental health the world wouldn't be perfect all of a sudden, but it would be a much better place.
The world would be a better place if people focused on actual world problems like toxic wastes, the rubbish pandemic, global warming, proper recycling and using solar energy instead of focusing on the next nuke made, wars, media and politics. Thats ancient history, we at a time now we need to focus more on science rather than the stupidity of apes that are in charge now.
Amazing video, kudos to all for sharing their journey. it isn't easy to voice it out loud, this is yet another reason I love AEW & it's wrestlers, always supporting & helping others.
What a great initiative. Thank You AEW ! Professionnal Wrestling / All Elite Wrestling, helped me during my depression days few years ago, and made me keep hope especially during 2020 and the pandemic situation.
Wow I respect everyone who told their testimony.. it's a lot of people that deal with these type of issues.. at the end of the day we all need each other Big ups to AEW.. a company like this will last forever because they will have loyal workers/wrestlers behind The Company Supporting it. Because AEW has Morals..
27 years as a mental health nurse did not make me immune to depression. My colleagues were always there for me. DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. ITS ALL SMALL STUFF is a great book and will help you understand why you feel like you do.
Blade You Are Amazing! Hopefully You’re Confidence Gets Better Bc You Are Indeed Amazing! Dax The Axe You Are Also Amazing And I Also Have Mild Anxiety Problems Especially Going Out In Public Places I Tend To Get On Edge And Feel Worried About Being In Public Or Scared That Something Is Going To Happen So Thank You For That Message. Powerhouse Hobbs I Am Sorry For Your Loss And I’m Glad You’re Getting Help And Therapy Bc I Also Had A Parent Pass But I Didnt Receive Professional Help So Thank You So Much. Ms.Vickie Guerrero I’m Also Sorry For Your Loss And I’m Glad You’ve Been Getting Professional Help As Well
Thank you AEW for making this video I suffer from health anxiety anxiety depression and social anxiety . So thank you so much for this Video a to make it okay to be fill down and to seek help . As a man who loves professional wrestling . And to here your story’s And nothing that big tough man that slam each other in the can fill the way I fill . So a big thank you
