MJF is a relatable heel, that's why he connects with people. He's not just a villain for the sake of being a villain. He has a good background story. He can be anyone of us. I truly believe he tells us his real life experiences (apart from the Liv car crash story, of course, haha).

I want this storyline to continue too. I think one way to do it is Strong interferes and got Max down for Adam to pin, but Adam refuses the cheap win and blow off Strong. Because of the distraction, MJF retains. What's the aftermath? Friendship still intact? Story continues... Then there's multiple options. 1. MJF assaults and take revenge on Strong which Adam disapproves, or 2. Adam keep pestering Max for a rematch as the one they had was a "dud". Both ways straining their friendship. But I selfishly hope they last long 😢 their chemistry is gold.

Agreed working with Adam cole has shown a new side of him I can’t help but wonder if cole has been helping him in reality with himself as well as the story. They work really well together and I’ve noticed mjf improving his wrestling since he started working with Cole too. Not saying he was bad before I always thought he was good just not the greatest ever. (Just my opinion. I don't know if the early part of the promo is true or not, but I can tell you that story connected with everyone in the room, and watching, some feels because it's so relatable. By far, one of the best promos just for that moment alone. We are so blessed to be able to witness some serious ability to do promos as well as a wrestler. I'm down for it.

I love how the fans were telling Cole to read the contract. Knowing MJF he probably put some crazy stipulation on that contract that Cole didn't read. Or it could be that if Adam Cole can't beat MJF for the title, Cole can never challenge for the title as long as MJF is champion.

@@connordenns Sure, they could make him full on baby face... but with his history, you really have to earn that trust. Notice the crowd early in his promo last night was conflicted on how to react. MJF has a history of getting cozy with people, then betraying them like, i.e. Cody and Jericho. People should be suspicious of his motives until he's gone enough time to prove sincerity, and that he's not a sociopath putting on a persona to further his goals.

I think this is the first time that AEW makes a main event with two baby-faces leading into the match and it’s nice to see a change rather than seeing the classic Heel vs Face match . Also nice touch at the end adding The Kingdom in the mix , a faction that Adam Cole was part of before joining the Bullet Club . This is becoming the current best storyline in the wrestling business 🔥🔥
