If all Oga could be like Odogwu, a lot of boys would be rushing to be Nwa boi boi for someone, but this time around they make it a leaving hell to the innocent boys, some Oga will see his boy with some amount of money he made from Apliko , he will accuse the boy of stealing his money and they mostly do that when Nwa boi is close to his settlement😢, at last they chase the boy away with just transport money 💔💔💔 May God bless all the Nwa boi boi around the world

A movie like this should be 3 hours long or a series. I really enjoyed it and wish it was made into different episodes.

Thank you for a great summary. I had already watched on Netflix but enjoyed this summary too. Stan Nze KOK, Alex and all supporting cast members were great, fantastic..Cameramen, editing,cinematography, costumes, set, lighting, all top notch....Authentic and believable acting. I won't lie. I have watched this fim at least twice in full. I've reflected on it a lot. First, as a big fan but more recently, with a critical eye. I spot some holes regarding the script and 1 weakness in casting. The main weak spot in casting was the lady who played older Amaka. The Amaka character, we can assume, grew up in Lagos, her parents , her Dad paricular, in the film speaks to her in pure Igbo & she replies in English. I found this odd. The young Amaka was more convincing ( she spoke Igbo more convincingly at times and at least her accent was stronger even when speaking English, but Adult Amaka barely spoke Igbo). The adult Amaka, was not the best choice for me although her emotional/crying scenes were good. I really think a fully Igbo speaking actress should have been used. Even if she mixed it up with English reflecting her schooling and Lagos upbringing, that eouldbhave made sense. The "traditional engagement" scene was sweet from a romantic point of view but also annoying. When her Father 'Odogwu' in Igbo asked her if she agreed to accept Afam/ Afam's family, her 'ee' a simple one to pronounce sounded odd... like she's being made to say something she's not used to saying. Further case in point, is that Lotanna , her son whom Afam ( fully Igbo speaking man )was raising, believed him to be fruit of his loins, asked'whats that?' when Paul asked him how he was in Igbo!I I know it is happening in reality but was disappointing on reflection. The most basic of Igbo which even I a born and bred Diasporan will know the meaning. However, if it was left like that deliberately to highlight the phenomenom of children born and raised in 9jah not understanding/ speaking Igbo and create a talking point, then fair dues. Also, how can Afamefuna and more so, even Amaka not have realised Lotanna was not Afam's biological son. It must have flickered as a thought or fear reveal times. Especially, as Paul said tautingly, to Afam, look at his eyes, nose, face in fact...reading between the lines, nor did Lotanna resembe Amaka resembling Amaka or Amaka's parents. Oherwise Afam would have had a rebuttal to Pauls proclamations. Paul who was Afam's day to day mentor/ direct line manager so to speak, and who was dating Amaka up to the night she decided to go with Afam...he must have had moments of doubt. She would have known, or at least been uncertain, as she would have to have 'taken in' from Afam within a very short space of time of having last being with Paul or else the conception to delivery timeline would not have added up, giving more cause for suspicion and doubt at least on her part. So do we have to assume that they married asap irnliterslly within weeks or slept together prior to wedding asap?.. Furthermore, after Lotanna, no other additional child?. At least none other shown..That boy was at least 6 or 7 years old.. Granted it could be for many reasons, and it does happen as we know, but leaves questions which I guess there was no room to explore in this film. Lastly, i would have liked to have see Afam's mother feature again, given that she was the one that secured the apprenticeship with Odogwu, and blessed Afam with instuction as he embarked on what was to end up as a successful journey. All that said,i still love this film so much. Personally my favourite Nollywood film on many levels. I would invite replies, and would be interested in other peoples thoughts and id😂eas. Polite debate only.❤

Even if I'm Odogwu, I'll settle Afam immediately. Do you know what it means to restore Odogwu's custom ceased business? That singular act revived Odogwu mental health and business immediately. If Paul had waited a bit, he would've been settled but he left in anger and lived a miserable life afterwards.
