Affies smashes South African Schools u/19 4x100 m relay record (2020) 

On 21 February 2020 the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool (Affies) in Pretoria broke the South African Schools u/19 record in the boys 4x100 m relay at the Interhigh meeting at Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort.
Their official time of 40.51 seconds, smashed the previous record of 40.86 seconds, which was also held by Affies since 2012, and cemented Affies as the fastest ever South African school in the relay event.
What made this extra special for the school is the fact that this was achieved in their centenary year with the school celebrating its 100th birthday only a few weeks earlier.
The 2020 team (in order of running) consisted of Björn van Wyk, André Erasmus, Joshua Nel and Eckhart Potgieter.
The official result was as follows:
