I'm a solo, freelance 3D animator. I've been looking for a good tool to be able to have a more interactive, visually helpful way of sharing projects between myself and my clients without simply inviting them to my clickup. I've long used Miro for this, but it has definitely felt more restrictive as far as communicating a project's stage of completion alongside the visual elements. This just might solve that problem for me in being able to have both quality info, and mood/story boarding in one place for them. Thanks for bringing light to this.
AFFiNE has integrated linear document editing and whiteboard functionalities, allowing you to seamlessly switch your document content to a whiteboard with just one click. Additionally, the whiteboard can accommodate any other elements you desire. Version 0.12.0 also supports previewing Figma links!
I put a comment ages ago asking for more open source stuff. And you've done 2 in close succession. Superlist and this. Honestly really cool! Keep it up!
YESSS finally a company that gets it. make this automatable i.e. make the colors infer themselves from note types, templates etc. and you have me and many more people as a customer!
Thanks for introducing the tool. would be really curious about the comparisons among those visual note taking apps including affine , scrintal, and heptabase.
I’m so shocked a notion and Miro baby hasn’t already been born. I’m far from a developer, however it would seem the market would be flooded filling the gap where Notion is slacking white board, tasks & calendar (better) etc. I think Affine is on to something huge here by filling this gap
I'd be interested in what you think of Siyuan. I just discovered it and it feels like a better obisidian. It's chinese so not very well known in the space but seems to have a lot of potential.
Yeah folks don’t get too excited. It’s incredibly buggy and unreliable. Have been trying to use it for a while but half the board functions just stop working randomly with elements disappearing out of the blue.
The presentation part that you like a lot is great...but i can get that in PowerPoint if i'm on MS 365. If it could eventually export a presentation to PP and/or PDF then that would be great.
I don't get the self-hosting option, I'm running Affine, Redis and Postgres according to their instructions... but still need to sign into their cloud?
Your videos are good, but the huge cursor is very distracting and doesn't look great. Can you lower the size to something more natural for your future videos? Just a suggestion.
Notion can easily add that feature and kill this app entirely. Too buggy. Can't add stickers that you create on edgeless into page. Thought it was supposed to connect one part to another.
@@Software-sb1gx I bet you ain't moving to this from notion. Sure it got one feature that's cool but it got so many bugs you're better off using FigJam or Miro and embedding onto Notion page. You do know that Notion allows to connect to other pages right? All they have to do is allow a new page to be a infinite scroll canvas and give users to connect to whatever page it wants to. But Miro and FigJam have vast array of templates, it's just better for them to allow users to embed. So yeah, they can easily add if they want to, they probably will in the future.
