Uh dude ? Awesome ! Just awesome ! There are so many A.D videos out there too complicated and too boring.. you just quickly explain and show what you did without being to complicated. Thanks a bunch for these videos !
Thanks heaps man! I'm really glad people are enjoying them. Got a massive drawing course coming out soon, and eventually that will involve Affinity Designer again. Stay tuned! :D
I'm sad you don't have more subscribers yet. Your artwork is awesome and you're using affinity which I just learned about and want to learn to use so your channel is win-win for me. Keep at it and you'll be a top artist on RU-vid in no time.
Thanks so much for the kind words! Although, I think it's kind of deserved right now. I haven't uploaded anything in 3 weeks because I moved house, worked picked up, and it's been problematic to say the least. I'm slowly working on what I can, so hopefully I'll be back to uploading weekly or fortnightly sometime soon :)
Thanks so much! I'm working on an absolutely huge one (about an hour-long) as we speak, but it's not going to be released on _this_ channel. It'll be out later this month and I'll be announcing it before it goes live :D - Stay tuned!
@@shams923 I can't really give away too much just yet, but I'll make a post about it here and on all my socials, so don't worry, you shouldn't miss it. Also, sorry, not too sure what you mean by "carm illustrations"
Really love the channel. Super excited to see the drawing course. Had affinity designer now for a few weeks. Keep deleting and switching it off as I don’t have the skills to get what’s in my head on my iPad. You have helped though. Thanks.
I haven't noticed an issue... Well, I mean I thought I did, but it turns out you need to be IN the group on the layers panel to select a stroke within that group. Sometimes using the node tool for this can be helpful. All in all, I've gotten used to it. As far as rotation goes, no issue there. You can use the transform panel for finer control if you need to. Maybe that would help? Not tried this out on a mini 5 sorry.
Cheers! I always work in CMYK when making these designs, since I already know they're going to be printed onto stickers and clothing. I only ever use RGB when doing web graphics or logos for people, and usually jump back and forth to make sure everything will look consistent on-screen and printed. I assume you made this comment because of the difference in colours from the screen to the sticker, so here are some thoughts as to why. I used to use sticker-mule for my stickers. They provide nice die-cuts and their quality is brilliant, but when COVID first hit I had a lot of trouble getting them delivered. I switched providers to a local print shop. The stickers are no longer matte, but glossy, which kinda sucks. They're still water-proof though but come on a flat sheet. The print quality isn't as good either and some of the colours look off. On the plus side, I'm able to quickly buy more when stock runs out. Hopefully, this won't be a long term solution. Sorry for the novel, just sharing thoughts with you :)
I get them printed through a local print shop. I used to use Sticker Mule when I first started. They're a big online company you get print stickers through. There's a lot of options and the quality is fantastic. The only reason I switched was due to slow postage times when COVID first hit. I've moved house.very recently, so I might even go back to using them now that things have calmed down a bit.
