You are an amazing teacher! You don't just assume we know everything like some instructors. It's easy to follow, you make it fun and your artwork is fantastic. A big Thank you - I am almost through all your videos. 🙂
You deserve another super thanks for making this video. This video is SO HELPFUL because it showed me how to do things I have been struggling with for quite a while. Not only am I saving it to my Affinity playlist I am replaying it while practicing each one. Thanks!
Massive thanks for all your work! Affinity Suite is not as common here in Poland as Adobe Suite is. You are really helping to get familiarised with Sarif software much quicker and see its potential. I really do appreciate🙏
I just subbed - I am using a trial version of this and you are a great instructor! I intend to make my way through all your tutorials as time permits...
Hello there, and thank for the good feedback. I believe there is a downloadable one somewhere, you'll have to Google that though. It's super easy to see them all from the help menu in Affinity Designer
Is there a tool in AD that is like the trace tool so many other vector programs have? Like, drop in an image and the software can extract the different colors as curves that can be manipulated? I wanted to use an old black and white image I made years ago in another software but wanted to separate it into the black shapes and eliminate the white so I could use the shapes with a new image with the geometry tools (add/subtract/divide). Thanks.
hello, thanks for all your tutorials. just bought a Huion drawing tablet. do you know if there is a way to turn your canvas like you can on an iPad Pro.( on iPad with two fingers. on drawing tablet maybe via shortcut?) thanks
No worries Kris. Enjoy the tablet! Yes you can rotate the same way as ipad, I use two fingers on my trackpad to rotate or do the same on my trackpad if I have touch gestures turned on. It's not as smooth as the iPad but works. Shortcut to reset rotation is under 'view'
@@ArtistWright thanks for your reaction. but its a screen tablet with no touch option. so I can't use my fingers. trying with the view tool (H). here I can move it but not rotate with the pen
No it doesn't by default, but if you can set your own shortcuts. Go to settings, tap on shortcuts, then choose 'layer' from the drop down settings. The Scroll down the list of shortcuts until you see alignment, now choose your shortcuts
I'm so surprised that there is no way to have a box/stroke around the text frame, with TBLR insets. You can use a workaround, but when you have tens of such text boxes, you start realizing how much it's missed.
Is there no way to temporarily modification shortcut ("toggle" like in PS etc) select a tool, and then when release shortcut, it goes back to previous?
