Nice to see some respect for the proper way to do things. I've seen many a video tutorial by "artists" where they simply and arbitrarily choose points along the vanishing point lines to draw their verticals and say they have drawn a cube in perspective when it is rather just some random box.
Chris Williams is a star. Thanks Chris you have really helped this bumbling grey haired computer amateur. When I went to school we could only dream about a calculator and computers were only in Dan Dare comics. Your explanations are paced at a level that my depreciating grey cells can cope with.
Owesome, as an Engineer who uses CAD and 3ds Max, it gave me some ideas because I was only using Affinity Photo as a Photoshop replacement for 2d graphics and photos. Chris you are a star. I am already a subscriber. Thanks.
Kind of "unusual" tutorial but very well presented with the detailed step-by-step approach. Well done! I have learned a lot about Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo just by watching and following your tutorials and they are invaluable. Thank you for your time and effort to do them. I really appreciate them. Hats down, Chris. Keep it up. ;)
Hello Chris, Great to hear from you, an excellent tutorial showing the breadth of Affinity Photo. Thanks very much, really appreciate all the work you have put into these tutorials
Chris P Williams Thanks. When I was drawing a large cube in perspective for 5'x5' painting, my vanishing point jumped the fence into the neighbors garden. I used to enjoy doing things the hard way.
As always, your description is just outstanding. Never realised that this was done in Affinity Photo. Perhaps, for this tutorial Affinity Designer would have been more relevant. That aside, the tutorial was e xcellent. Subscribed to your challenge today. Many thanks for your efforts Chris.
Vijay Kumar Sharma thank you and I agree designer would have been easier and better however my objective was to show what could be done in AP with a little effort. I’m glad you subscribed and will be producing more videos soon.
Hi , yes it would be easier in designer but it’s applicable to both as some people like to draw in affinity photo. It also applies to pen and paper. I hope you found it useful Cheers stay safe
