I love savage garden. Been listening to them since i was a kid. And choreography dances to them for that long. I can vividly recall being in high school when affirmation came out. Performed a dance I choreographed to crash and burn in high school and was accepted to Broadway. As I progressed into my 20s I remembered referring to affirmation as my "happy music". It would instantaneously raise my mood and spirit. I namely did this while cleaning the house. It definitely made things easier. Now in my mid 30s, it's definitely a part of my life and it still instantaneously lifts my mood. I introduced my husband to this band who had never heard of them before, and he's definitely a fan. Thanks Darren and Dean for making such memorable, heartwarming, mood-lifting, and life long beautiful music. I will always carry a piece of you with me, through my life and pass the positivity on to my children.

I remember the first time I heard this song was during the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Australia really knew how to throw a party!
