In this video, I am comparing top-rated dotted notepads from Amazon India to find out which one is best for Bullet Journaling. And the review is my personal opinion.

I've been using Matrikas for an year but since the pages are so thick I've always used it by sticking two pages together. I recently got the factor notes one but the pages didn't lay flat altho that and the cover wasn't much of a problem for me at such a low price, I use heavy colors and don't want ghosting at all so I just stick to Matrika for now.

There's a hard bound cover paper notes bullet journal with 120GSM paper available, just in case someone wanted to go for paper notes but was dicey because of the soft bound cover

Hey, factor notes have now introduced hardbound, with 3 page marks I brought it a few days ago, they are good. Check it out too... And I am using Matrikas marvel, it is good too, I didn't use any markers or highlighters, ther soke up! And the cover cover fades over time because it is cloth but not a cloth.... so, 🤷‍♀️ but it's good for starting... if someone want to start a journal journal not worry about money...

I totally agree. I wouldn’t suggest anyone to go for MatrikaS signature marvel. But MatrikaS signature Premium has 100 gsm paper and they are Close to factor Notes paper. But it’s expensive though. I just saw the factor Notes hardbound ones in Amazon and I’m going to place the order. Thanks for your feedback.

Yes. I agree on that too. MatrikaS is slightly bigger than other journals and it’s a game changer for me. I’m actually planning to use B5 Journal from now onwards as I need more space in my weekly. Will post a video if I think I can add value. Thanks for commenting.👍🏼

Are acrylic and watercolor(with less water) usable on 100 gsm factornotes notebook?

I have used watercolour but not acrylic colours on factor notes. The pages are good for watercolours, even though the page thickness is 100gsm. In fact factor notes worked best for colours, compared to the other books in this video.

@@onetinystep3573 not much bleeding if you layer it in 3-4 times it bleeds and minimal ghosting, the dots are Medium to dark, the page color is a pure white and it has two bookmarks no index the pages are not numbered and has a pocket at the back, it' s really nice

It depends on your preference. For the price point this is an great option. It has the best paper quality compared to the other books in the video. It is not laying completely flat. I’m guessing when you start using it would get better.

Yes. Factor Notes has the best paper quality as per the pan test I did.

The problem with factor Notes is that, it does not have a hard binding and I prefer hard bound books with numbered pages (like MatrikaS) for bullet journaling. Also the factor notes ones does not lay flat if that matters to you. I will try to upload another comparison video after using these books for a month.

While considering your budget, also remember the number of pages in each notebook. "Sheets" are number of papers in the notebook, "pages" are the number of front and back faces of each sheet. Cheaper notebooks may have lesser pages/sheets. You'll need more pages if you want one notebook for the entire year. Calculate from your monthly and yearly spreads, how many pages you'll need. Also focus on GSM, lower the GSM, thinner the page, leading to more bleeding of pens behind the page, leaving a blank page looking ugly.

MatrikaS Premium is far better than marvel. Premium is 100gsm and marvel is 80gsm and also after using up both the journals I realise that the cover of MatrikaS Premium is sturdier than marvel, which tear away easily. Hope it helps

@@Yuri-1907 I’m assuming that you are talking about bullet journaling. I suggest you start with a book and a pen. As you go you will know what you need. Write them down in your wish list and give yourself sometime before you invest in supplies. That way you will know that you really need them and not wasting your money. Always start minimal.
