You can reform the tips by giving them a good wash with a basic soap and then use a moisturizing soap or use a conditioner(hair kind works) and leave the soap on after reforming the tip. It makes for a protective cover while also resetting the shape.

Since you have those brushes for so long, it’s a longterm in-depth review...sooo that’s seems to be a good thing, I guess💕

Taking so long to review them definitely has benefits though! It’s a selling point to know how long the brushes last. Most reviews are right after getting a product, so I never know if the product will have longevity. So in the case of these brushes it was good to know you’ve been using them for months. I’m going to pick some up with my next supply order! I also abuse my brushes pretty bad... LOL

Would you mind maybe doing a gouache tutorial? I’ve always wanted to start using gouache but have no idea where to start.

Lol the brushes crack because you leave them in water for so long so it soaks the wooden handle until it swells and cracks. My high school art teacher freaked when he saw I left the brushes in water, I was never able to leave one in water again 😓 yay love your videos!!! 😊

You can easily fix the tip shape of a brush and it's better to do it before they loose the shape too much. Clean your brush in Hot water with a bit of brush soap if you have some. Then reshape the brush with a really small amount of matt hair clay on your finger. I know its not something you probably have with long hair, but you could probably pinch a near empty tub from a friend don't wanna waste money on it as you don't need much. Leave it over night to set and rewash the brush in some hot or warm water before use.

These look like really cool brushes! I don't treat mine that great as I always forget to wash them, so they tend to be a bit crusty and hard every time I want to use them XD

if your brush gets misshapen mix starch and water i believe you can put the bristles back in place

I'm SO relieved to hear other artists use cheaper brushes, when I was in art school I got a lot of flack for using them. I love that $9.99 set of 10 at Michaels, I don't feel as bad when they get destroyed because I got my money's worth (I too am not kind to brushes).

i use small round brushes a lot and my life long quest is to find ones that dont start curling at the tip after a few weeks. It's frustrating because otherwise the brush is fine but i dont have the control i want cuz of like 3 hairs curling

Love the review, might look into getting these myself, love the fact they have a year warranty! I just have a few different sized brushes that I probably could look wash better 😥 Mostly I just use waterbrushes but I want to start using gouche and acrylic more cause I'm inspired by how you use them 😊

Idk if you ever have this problem but if you forget to wash your brushes and they harden, leave them in vinegar for a couple hours and then wash them. :)

Huh...My Art Scape...Glad you did this review, because now, I think I should order some. I’m kind of picky with my watercolor brushes, and generally only use sable or a squirrel mix, but I was thinking I’d like to buy some high quality synthetics for inks (like my Ecoline watercolor inks), and guache and acrylics. These look wonderful for that purpose. I especially like the well thought out design of the easel stand-like cases. I tend to clean my brushes meticulously, even if they’re cheap because I’m ridiculously OCD, so I won’t lecture someone whose art results are FABULOUS about brush hygiene (ha ha,). You gonna do you, Boo, and I highly approve!

Pro tip: if you dry your brushes on the side or facing down the water doesn't run down into the brush head and destroy the bristles!!!
