Thank you, they explained it in an accessible language. I had the experience of planars Shuoer S12 + Fiio KA3. I didn't have enough bass. I hope Pla 13 will please with a slightly dark sound for a price three times lower)
Not sure if PM driver would be better bass in your setup but, you may try it since it is affordable. PLA13 need Eq tuning from mids to low if you want to make it wavvy/darker tone. (Using Mr Kitty - After Black, song as reference)

I don't have PLA13 yet but I have AS16 Pro, I'll wait for next iterations until it's more, more refined like their BA the AS16 Pro. But, I think AS16 Pro is more better, more mature tuning while still maintain the KZ fun sound. KZ have been doing good job on their single DD and BA in the recent 3 years, I think it will be need more time for the Planar to become a better, I think the planar drive units it's a bit rushed release schedule to me, I know it's probably sounds good but it does look rushed by the graph alone. Need to be more polished. For J-Pop, I'll keep using CCA CRA+ for now.
TBH I never looked for the CCA graph since it is not avai. on linsoul. Listen by ear general. The Planar on PLA13 is bit too tense for my taste, prefer the like of the THX Panda.
The Pla13’s bass is strong no doubt but hits like a cardboard, totally devoid of quality. The highs are so so but that planar sheen spoils the soup somewhat. It doesn’t sound fatigue but it doesn’t excite either. I’m surprised that this planar’s resolution is lower than other implementations. Perhaps because the bleed over of the super strong bass? Good first attempt but it’s not good enough.
I am planning to purchase them and pair them with any decent quality neckband. Please suggest any good neckband. Note- I am doing this only for experiment purpose.
