GVM has really been stepping up their game! What do you think? UPDATE: After using this light more, I've realized that the white balance shifts as you adjust the power of the light. Not a huge problem, but it is annoyance. If you purchase this light, be sure to recalibrate your WB if you've changed the light's power level.
You're one of the few reviewer that have noticed that. Wes Perry measure the shift to 900K, when going from 100% to 10% (5600K->6400K). Also got it confirm from a store, it is a hardware and not firmware issue. 900K difference is huge! It is actually a huge problem, since WB have to be set every time intensity is changed. That is not "Pro", but I guess it is the reason they have sales of those now and then for $269....
Just got my 650b and it's actually quite good for the money, between the build quality and britness. The fan noise is definitely quite high but it's not awful at all
Definitely true on the v mount battery part, only reason why I wouldn’t get it, but it did show them having a vmount adapter connected to the light on their website maybe their gonna roll it out later? Still it’s something to look out for, since the one they have currently says it’s only compatible with their older light models :(
I made a conscious decision not to do that because I never find that useful in other people's videos. There so many factors that go into how to show off the light in a video: light settings, light modifier, ambient light, camera exposure, etc. Good feedback though and I'll be sure to keep that in mind for future videos. Yeah, it can be tricky if you’re not familiar with how these things work. A company needs to send products out to be reviewed, some offer to pay money in addition to sending the product. IMO, once a creator accepts money in exchange for a video, it becomes a commercial. I make the decision to decline all payments for review videos. I do accept products, otherwise I would have to purchase everything with my own money…which would make creating content cost prohibitive. If the company requests the product be returned, I do gladly send it back on their dime. Hope that clears some things up. Fwiw, getting products sent to me doesn’t guarantee a good review. GVM - Got couple of their products but I'll never touch this brand again no matter how good their products is. Got problem with my slider and wrote to them multiple emails and they only replied once, brush me off and then never reply again. Horrible after service. Company that wants to be a player in the market can't just come up with some new products and have horrible after sales service. Steer clear of this brand !

I’ve already given up on this company and I’m just here to warn ppl and don’t want them to go through this. Horrible experience n hopeless company! They were successful with the gvm motorized slider but got arrogant n ignore customer service, a very grave mistake ! I hear lesser of them now. I got a whole bunch of Colbor cl 60 CL 220 n their lights n service is phenomenal. I’m not exaggerating. They even text me on a personal note, their products is ist class n so is their service. That’s what I called a great product 👍 will be buying more of their lights if I need more. The brand I’ll go for and highly recommend people 👍 try it for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
