so far I have found some locations though. worse case if dont get condo in homestead is a pretty cool rv site can purchase a lot south of everglades city.

Keep in mind...what's affordable in another market is completely different than what's "affordable" here in the Keys. Back in rural north Georgia $500k buys you a beautiful/big home on acreage, here in the Keys that amount buys you 2 bedrooms around 1000 square feet on a 60x100 foot lot....or a condo like this one!

@@GablesOnTheGo i completely understand. We have watched quite a few listing videos and were trying to guess prices before you said it. The price was about $100k higher than our guess, but what was far more than expected was the HOA. Nice place though.

It's important to understand why condo association fees have gone up so much and more importantly why SOME association fees have not increased proportionally to others. There are very specific reasons for this, and understanding these reasons can help a buyer find a really good deal on a condo these days. Condos are still selling very well down here and most likely will continue to sell well in the FL Keys. The recent changes in FL law and the impact that has had on condo association fees is creating great opportunity if you have a good buyers agent that knows where and what to look for.

No maintenance, easy living especially for older active couples. Convenient to get around town and beach access. I’d consider it in about 15 years or so when we retire!

Absolutely affordable! Google home prices in Sisters Oregon. I've been looking at living in the keys for awhile. Have a wife and 6 kids, and if I can make it happen here, I can make it happen in the keys. At least in the keys we don't have to deal with 8ft of snow and -20deg temperatures! Sounds like heaven to me

Window in the kitchen, windows in both rooms, sliding glass door on the balcony.....HOA fees include insurance.
