@@INSHANIYAT786.it doesn't matter if Figs are not liked by Indians. They are one of the best fruits in both fresh and dried forms. Dried figs are expensive in USA, around 5 dollars half kg.

It's true! However i wish to know how to treat ready product prior consuming. I mean he walks on the floor then places dry figs on it, touches them all over with dirty fingers. One would get a diarrhea by consuming them without some kind of soap wash prior eating.

My friend, watch how raisins are made in california and you wouldn't be so annoyed. They are much much dirtier in the process. But ofc they get washed before packaging. Don't bother yourself too much@@csenuber

@@erdeta1673 I ate imported India's kishmish/raisin from grapes countless time. the process of making it is not that highly higienic , especially in traditional way. but yeah, never heard someone sick after consuming raisins. i still love dried fruits so much.

At my local place we have to brought this between Rs. 1500-2000 per KG. Its premium grocery item for us.

When I was growing up in Quetta my father would bring these long strings whole. I remember eating them like kids eat chips today. Then afghan war started and these vanished from the market. I really look forward to seeing these again soon

Good and informative video. By the way Pune (purandar) in Maharashtra India has an area as big as Delaware which grows figs. They have been GI tagged recently and the figs are exported to Singapore and Hong Kong. The size is bigger and is much sweeter in taste. It also has both summer and winter harvests. Summer harvest is sweeter. However, we do not dry them into what you have shown in your video.
