You have ALOT to learn/discover! Also MANY hours of AFI to catch up on. Every album has a unique style. Just search for 'A Fire Inside albums'! They started out as a hardcore punk band and evolved through every album! You are not a noob, you just have not experienced what AFI is all about! :)
Carlos Rodriguez , that Is not true. There mailing list was named asking for it as too many people were asking for free stuff. AFI was AFI and A Fire inside is the only name the band responded to. google it! lol
he said he didn't want it on the record because he felt it would push certain "fragile" fans to take their lives. weird i know but that's why it was a late release.
They should’ve added 1 minute of silence after endlessly she said and then add this song right after like a hidden track like they did with Sing The Sorrow
So this is what we've been missing out on for years. Sounds like a Blaqk Audio song. Meh, I expected something different. Maybe some hint of Sing of Sorrow but I guess not.
Why do people say "Sounds like Blaqk Audio" every time AFI uses electronic elements? There's many layers of guitar in this song (Blaqk Audio has zero guitar) and none of those dancey synthpop sounds. This sounds like AFI.
rocket83cs To me it was reminiscent of a few songs from Decemberunderground, which was when they really started using more electronic instruments in some of their songs.
Quite frankly, I have nothing against Blaqk Audio. I actually dig a couple songs from the first album but I feel like this and 37mm fit right into CexCells. At least for me, it is of similar sound to "Cities of Night" during the verses.
rocket83cs this would fit well on the first record with songs like Cities of Night, Wake Up, and Love Letter. Then again I’m fairly certain Love Letter and Wake Up were the two written originally for AFI
