Sounds boring. Predictable. I've seen this story before. More of the same drivel in indie cinema these days.

Just watched this on the Criterion Channel, glad I did but not for reason you might think. Glad I watched because I buy blu-rays of movies I really like after first screening on streaming/cable and I definitely will not be buying this movie; I thought the trailer was better than the movie. This movie is one of the worst I've seen in full. Mainly I guess because the main protagonist, a budding writer, was unlikeable start to finish; just a depressed, boring person. There is zero soundtrack/music, zero, which is fine for some films, but here it only makes movie even worse. The female lead seems a good actress, but why she keeps giving the male lead so many breaks and attention is baffling. The movie is P.C. which I abhor....the two other male supporters fall for each other and become a gay couple, which has no impetus or point to adding depth to movie; it's there purely to be PC. The best actor is the older male who plays the publisher/editor. Finally, the ending sequence is baffling; I guess you either got it or didn't and I certainly didn't.
