wait so navy, air force, and army execute sling arms from carry? I'm in the mcjrotc and our manual says it has to be from order so now im confused because we aren't allowed to use any other branches commands or their way of doing them.
It almost doesn't seem possible to do this while being the guard closest to the US flag but he does it so close to his arm in the video that I guess it is
Going from sling back to right shoulder is not regulation. And sling you added a few counts that’s not in regs. And just so you know I’m not some random person I’m the commander of the number 1 AFJROTC color guard
This only applies to color guard where the TC specifies adjusting the sling and returning to Carry Colors. Normally, you'd return the rifle to the Order.
Hey, I read that you had 15 drill teams? I’m confused. And also it kinda saddens me that we don’t have an instructor to teach us drill. We’re fully self taught and at my first drill meet I realized it might be a setback. Some people have experienced instructors teaching them. We kinda don’t haha. Don’t get me wrong we placed pretty well in some aspects, but man. And we only have one team. Although I freakin love sgt Williams. Awesome, funny wise guy with many stories to tell.
Thats a tough one, first off id like to say congrats on your placement at your meet! Secondly i do realize that i was very lucky with our school having the funding to be able to keep that many teams going, and having more than enough people to keep the spots filled. Our instuctors really enjoyed drill so it was that much more welcomed. There are a ton of different resources that you can use to learn more and better yourself and your teams and there are third party companies that will come to you to teach also, like in this video that is a third party company that we hired to come show us another way to do something before we went to a compettion with strange requlations. But it all depends on your school and what your instructors want to do, are your instructors not interested in drill?
@@odinsgaming2565 My drill instructor loves our progress, and tries hard to give us the recognition we deserve in our school. Man some esports kid who won athlete of the month, and we aren’t even recognized as a sport. Also, how many students do you think were at your school? Mine has about 1600 students, 80 in AFJROTC, and 15 In drill. It takes really hard work and about 3 hours minimum of practice a day for us. We practice one hour before school, and 2 after optionally for the fun of it. At least we have more people than last year apparently had (I wasn’t there). Also if I may ask, what rifles did y’all use? We use a mix of Glendales and daisies for practice, and I don’t know what for comp. Almost all the glendales broke. Haha two weeks ago got myself a daisy so I’m personally fine. And thanks for replying!
