I can absolutely see this being a test of community temperment. Determine where our boundaries are, and how we react based on limited info.

I like that they're mindful of both casuals and whales and ensuring both get attention.

I still think we should push for a token to reset a hero's weapon especially since they made balancing changes. even if marilee is still good, people might have chosen to hold on to their mats or not bring her quite as high if she wasnt so ridiculously far ahead and safe like she was before

They reacted, yes. But they still didn't address the nerfed Noble Path issue. And the incident itself, the audacity of thinking your entire player base are idiots is hilarious. Also, 10 freaking pulls is not enough for a shit storm of such a scale.

Bro they didn't fix the Noble Path and the growth seasonal pass..... It's 1/5th the value of the last one. They're going to go into a cycle of nerfing, compensating apologizing, and then getting away with nerfed stuff overall.

Did they mention anything about compensation for the chests that have already been opened? Or is this only going to be effective on the chests that are yet to be opened? Also the 15 shards from corrupted creatures that I already cleared...

while i don't agree with how reddit went about their complaints with a lot of the anger they used, i'm glad it's paid off and that the devs have listened and implemented changes (and the free 10pull is nice compensation too). Hopefully in the future we can have more civil complaints to the devs if and when problems arise, but so far looking good for the future of the game :)

Dude. I’ve subscribed to you since Y1. Came back to watch afkj and I respect that you voiced your own opinion on the matter. I already had my refund, but if I didn’t I’d stick around and only watch your content going forward. Keep it real

Slight correction: true dmg does not increase based on the enemy hp. Its just that it ignores defense and the higher the difficulty the higher the bosses defense. So the value of true damage increases as the bosses difficulty increases and throughout the fight as well (the lower their hp the greater their defense). That being said, true dmg was still nerfed. And the issue was not primarily the balance change but the resources spent on marilee and korin normally considered high priority targets to lvl. They should have allowed resetting a chars lvl and refunding the essences if they balance chars in a gacha game. But no Theyre nerfing and buffing and the resources spent on chars is potentially forever wasted. Afk arena has a reset feature so they can add it here too.

I still don't get this new season thingy. Is this just a continuation of our progress or are we starting from scratch(our old progress stays in non-season servers) like in Torchlight Infinite?

I don't like how I miss out on content because I play it like an afk game. What am I missing because I haven't made it to the new season yet?

As a f2p I'll take it, I'm not complaining at all and like to see a gaming industry that cares and listen to what the community has to say. But let's be real, most of the people complaining are kids that voice their expressions way too loud, making the situation seem way worse than it actually is. I didn't even know we were supposed to be mad about the new season before the last video... that was 3 days into the season. I'm only concerned for the health of this game in the long term. I started playing about a month and a half ago, and I'm already on my way to my 3rd supreme character, at this pace, I'll get a fully supreme team with +10 or +15 exclusive equipment in the next 2-3 months, and I'm gonna be able to compete against players that are paying for the game. The only thing keeping me away from them, will likely be the twilight stones, which is a very hard resource to obtain as f2p. How is that bad for me? Well, for me it's not bad at all. But the only reason i can play this game for free, is because someone else is paying to play. And if f2p players can compete against p2w in just the space of a few months since the server started, then is there really a point in spending? Incresing the rewards for f2p has its advantages, makes the community larger and, overall happier, but at the same time it kind of discourages spending. Again, as a f2p player, the rewards are juicy and definitly makes me wanna play the game more, but no company can survive without money. Listening to the community is great, but knowing when to say no is also important. I just hope they know what they're doing.

I am happy with the response time and knowledge that they were internally aware and seeking to improve asap after patch drop. I think this sets a promising precedence. Something I do believe will be a stain on the game if not tackled early, and especially before something horrible happens, is the chat in the game. It is far too unmoderated and I’ve seen straight up porn as pfps. I’m 30, I don’t give a shit, but we are kidding ourselves if we think minors aren’t all over this game with its art style and accessibility. It is patently dangerous.

If they reverted the travelogue/monthly passes too, it would be a huge W. But I’m happy they rolled it back from feedback.

Noble Path fix still missing

its a huge w that they just responded 1 day after and increasing rewards but they didnt mention the rewards on trial of abyss after stage 300+ :/ would be great if they adjust the rewards there too cause u only get 3 red ex weapon upgrade material per 5 stage and its kinda nothing

Quick reminder we are talking about the same company (lilith games) that made Rise Of Kingdoms and call of dragons, two of the most p2w mobile game ever made (probably only matched by diablo immortal) so i would not let my guard down ever and Watch at every step they make

This wasn't a hiccup, they went out of their way to do it. You don't accidentally cut rewards in half and don't notice. It absolutely discourages me from spending on the game, especially with removing so much from the BP but still somehow being "3000%" value shows how willy-nilly they have those value checks for. Will probably quit once my server hits the season, Wuthering Waves is coming out regardless.

The games fun and causal but also competitive if u wanna be so as long as they see the mistakes they make and fix them I have no problem playing and spending money. Cause this is tbh one of the better games iv played in a while.

They kinda did but not 100%. Also im mostly mad that we have to pay for TWO Noble passes cuz one is a season one? Also that a new season is just like a restart and them a chance to grind on more money to progress, the system itself sucks and with all the other bullshit they did i kinda feel done.

Everyone on reddit is STILL raging and saying that this isn't good enough, which I frankly find baffling. This response was swift, detailed and the described changes rectifies almost every complaint players have brought up. What is there even to be mad about? Crying about "they broke our trust!!" like bitch if you TRUSTED a corporation like a friend that's very much a you problem. "They just want our money!!" Yeah no shit Sherlock. That is literally why the game exists and no one has every pretended otherwise.

i was already feeling a bit burnt on how long it takes to progress and after this i kinda gave up and am saving my energy for wuwa. It was fun for a month but i uninstalled today.

We haven't won. If anything they thought they could get away with it without people noticing. Only reason they "noticed" it is because people have chargedback for this mess. An update doesn't get released until it gets signed off from the right departments, which means they looked, adjusted each and every f2p angle, approved of it then released it. So they knew what they were doing. If anything the damage is done. They've shown how greedy they can get with this update and if I do continue to play, I doubt i'll be spending anything unless I see improvements in general and not just "one" update.

Someone refunded almost $3000 through their bank and pretty sure a lot more did. So, this might be damage control along with the down ratings. Still good on them if they continue with this.

good for the game cause this is great side game , and also the community for a gacha community to make devs bow down is a big achievment , although a small win its a win anyways. special thanks to the review bombers and the whales who risked there accounts by getting refunds

Having played Pokemon Go, this is an amazing response. The devs respond quickly, they actually apologize and they compensate with a hefty amount of rewards. Though maybe it just means I have low standards lolol 😂 Either way, glad to see a win!

This is nothing new, sadly. They've done this multiple times in AFK Arena, and I heard they did this in Dislyte as well. I'm just tired of spending money on a game, only for the dev teams to spit in our faces. I'm currently doing a chargeback on all my purchases (since google play store told me they cant do anything) and dropping this game. I look forward to seeing Mtashed's wuthering waves content.

this isnt a W, unless you mean a W for the company because for us consumers this is anything but a W, they showed their greed and willingness to destroy their game in the name of profits and only after a bunch of people charged back and review bombed them (which they got deleted) they decided to just put out a statement to prevent more damage.

I get it's a touchy subject Mtashed because you just got a juicy contract and creator after creator has gushed about just how "generous" their payment structure is, but the reality is for us regular players this was a very bad call and while they fixed this now and did a total 180, they genuinely tried to screw us over which is going to leave a lasting distrust. I mean who the heck makes a mistake by downgrading the rewards in a paid pack to one fifth? Gacha games are known to be predatory and even THAT was unprecedented. Wishing you all the best of luck but I deleted the game this morning, I'll be watching your WW though!
