thats what makes them good..... a goal doesn't have to be from the boundary line to be good, a match winner is a good goal. And hawkins was a 60m kick, thats clutch
There are some great ones here. The only really glaring omissions would be Polkinghorne's torp to finish off WC, and Malceski's last goal in the GF where he almost had his back to the goal. I'd have to vote for Hawkins' goal as well. It was straight, but it was long and also how quickly they got it from Mackie in the back line to Duncan then Johnson then Selwood, who kicked it to Hawkins. Same with Polkinghorne's where the goal came right after an almost sure WCE goal was touched at the line.
Same reason applies to why their tops are tight, if an opposition player can get hold of you, you're going down with them. That's why they don't have baggy shorts etc like NBA players.
Alright come on I'm a soccer player but I still love AFL. Now in my area AFL is regarded as the pussy sport because everyone plays NRL and it annoys me so much. I spend all my time defending AFL and then I go and see comments like that and it just makes me sad. Why can't you accept both sports as completely different games instead of comparing it to your own.
Soccer is by far the biggest and most important sport on Earth with more than 4 Billion fans and massively popular in over 240 countries. Every country on Earth loves Soccer. AFL has 6 million fans and big in only 4 Australian States. Its a minority sport in QLD and NSW. Soccer will be the number 1 sport in Australia by 2050 and every suburb will have its own local soccer club fshcbc
Where is Taylor Walker's goal from 60 out after half time siren against Hawks in the preliminary final?? and what about Karmichael Hunts goal for the Suns first win???
