The world wants African resources. Why not leverage those resources when it comes to reparations. We could tax the resources for colonialism and slavery this should be the new black tax. These people are not going to give anything willingly, so we should add a reparations tax. Now how the money is disbursed is another conversation for another day. But, there are ways to get what’s owed to us.

The African Diaspora will then have the capital to invest back home in Africa. Then will we in the diaspora have the required capital, and capacity to begin to return to Africa to invest, and build the capacity, and infrastructure back home in Africa. All of Africa must take back control, and ownership of the lands, and its wealth of precious metals, oil, and other raw materials and its people in which world and Africa now needs. Africa should leverage this newfound power to hold all of the world nations who played a part in the slave trade accountable for the cruel, brutal, wicked unfair treatment, and evil atrocities brought on the people of Africa, and its lands. The consensus here is to hold accountable and make all nations responsible who took part in the slave trade pay politically, geo-politically, and monetarily for the economic harms that has been done for over 475 to 600 years to the people, and the land of Africa.

In it GOD told our ancestors that IF they Obeyed HIM--POSITIVE things would happen to them; BUT IF they Disobeyed HIM THEN NEGATIVE things would happen to them. (THEY Disobeyed.) Thus, many generations of us have had to suffer. I was deeply offended by Ambassador Arikana Chihombori's statement. Instead of acknowledging the true causes of the failures, she became defensive and resorted to the common tactic of blaming the West to distract from the autocratic African leaders and corrupt politicians who prioritize their own enrichment over the well-being of their citizens.
@@plezful Most African countries gained independence in 1960. Since then there have been coup after coup and in some cases civil wars. 60 years later if you still haven't realized you have been bamboozled, then wait for the next 60 years and keep blaming the West. By the way, have you noticed how well Asian countries are doing? If you can't identify the source of your problem, you'll never be able to fix it.
One Africa? What makes you think you can rule a continent when you couldn't even control a single country without an economic crisis or civil war? It's just a weird concept without much consideration.
@@44mother Ignoring facts won't improve your situation. Examples: Since gaining independence in 1960, Burkina Faso has experienced 7 coups d'état. Since gaining independence in 1960, Niger has experienced 5 coups d'état. I could go on. The reason why these countries struggle to develop is that some individuals use force to gain power and enrich themselves. Democracy is crucial for a country to progress.
