I am from Serbia, and when I listen to this man, I can feel the emotion and the will for Africans to be strong and sovereign, not exploited by outsiders. It resonates extremely strong for us Serbs, and I wish for Africa unity and strength so that it would find itself on the map rightfully as a new power for the betterment of the life of it's people, and all people around the world.
you can my brother but you have alot job to do beggin clear all this : ,continent full of thieves, golddiggersprostitutes, corrupted, fake doctors, stupide teachers, fantasists. and more more......................
Prof. Lumumba is one of Africa brightest mind who I can listen with admiration and great hope. It is way over due to see him in Addis Ababa, but never too late. Give him an office in AU-Addis and have him educate the uneducated self absorbed African gready "leaders".
As a pan-Africanist and daughter of the soil, I find this an enlightening and excellent talk👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I cry for Africa everyday. Hopefully, one fine day, but less likely within this century. No one listens to African leaders to play a big part in the geo-political world globally because of poor governance, corruption, division, tribalism, nepotism and hatred amongst Africans themselves. The looting of state funds by corrupt leaders, leaving poor Africans with no infrastructures is very, very sad. United we stand, divided we fall, but unfortunately, African Union is a total myth.
I am from Mozambique 🇲🇿, and this speech just just pulished my head. This is a voice of a really African man. Unfortunately we don't have liders ready enough to take seriously the situation of Africa
PLO Lumumba, I’m a black Jamaican, who really understands each and every single word you’ve spoken Marcus Garvey was, and still is my personal hero, yes they’re thousands of great men, who fought for our rights, but it’s like here we are after all these decades, it’s like we’ve been failing seriously to make our stands I’m so disappointed in our black leaders
When Kwame Nkrumah heard of the Coup detat in Ghana he asked the man sitting by him "What do you think has happened in Ghana" the man answered "there has been a coup" Nkrumah replied "No, the downfall of Africa has started". He wanted to unite the continent.
Let me have my moment of weakness.....TEARS 😭😭 !!! OK...now picking up my energy from off the ground 😡....now re balancing my emotions🙂..... where there is life there is hope and Africa is FULL OF LIFE. What we do with our lives is the challenge. But here's the real deal...what goes around comes around. As above, so below. Everything is energy. The energy of African youth is palpable; it is strong. There is a global understanding that these are not ordinary times; something unprecedented is happening and Africa is on the cusp of restoration. There is a knowing among African youth, a realization that change is inevitable. I pity the African leader who will not lend ear, hearts and mind to the youth of his country...his employers. I am a 53 year old born in Canada, raised in Jamaica by a Pan African father who gifted me my Ashanti name. 53 years is a long time to wait for just the right to exist in peace;but a thousand years in the life of a man is but a day in the life of The Source of Life ( that tiny atomic particle that went BANG to create this paradigm of existence). So take heart my people. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH....OUR TIME IS COMING....STAY HOPEFUL; STAY WORKING TO BRING THIS CHANGE...DO YOUR PART HOWEVER SMALL. We were created from a small thought and look at us now...BIGGER THAN LIFE!!
I felt this speech to my CORE! This humble man has been making powerful lectures all over the world for a while now and our leaders still refuse to listen. It is for the people of Mother Africa to rise up as we are ready for change. May the universe and our ancestors bless and protect you, Professor Lumumba. Peace.
Leaders listen to what is important to us and we don't listen and act so neither do the leaders. Look at all of these comments. None of them invoke action, but are in awe of the speaker/messenger!!! Wakanda city of return. We will not realize it for we will be deep into slavery again. Can you smell burning flesh again?
Africans never learn from their mistakes, but later start to recognize their weaknesses once they have lost everything. The professor has a lot to teach. God bless you!
@@ot4625 We've been hearing about colonialism from when we were kids till now. Most of the so-called problems started by colonialism are still there looking for pioneers that would shift the tide and push African nations in a new direction. Instead we get either this, woke messagers that don't offer any meaningful solutions just merely talking about the problem or sock puppets that just play to the gallery and feed Africans their revolutionary garbage but end up being worse that colonialists themselves. Truth is, Africa's solutions don't come with an applause. They involves getting our hands dirty and grinding from the pit, filth and bottom of the global society. We would have to accept unpopular solutions like learn from even our colonizers...Yes... Like why were colonial administrations so effective, how did they keep different factions in check...Yes, we should also not pick sides between East and West, but use that dichotomy to our own advantage. I find it hard to listen to lectures like these, especially from this man, because the reality staring at us in the face is that most of this information does nothing to better the lives of Africans. Technological progression is more important than any of this to be honest. The West is still leading the charge to end malaria and when they develop the vaccines we would still find a way to complain. I'm sick of this - Find solutions to your own problems or shut up is my philosophy...sorry but no sorry
very true....its only when disaster strikes that people come together, otherwise, its a bunch of tribes that make up so called nations with governments that struggle to fit in a global international order
Which part of Afrika's story do you refer to when you say "Afrikans never..."? I para- phrase a statement made by Pro. Anthony Browder, "If The history of Afrika is a book that has 1000 pages, these last 500 years of Afrika's history, fits into the last 2 pages! Yes, we are hard headed, however, the one Constant in this universe is Change! Never say Never!
@@leob.venzen1153 the last 2 pages? Wow, then why do those two pages dominate the public discourse about Africa? If it wasn't so important why is everything and every problem attributed to colonialism??
I wish Africa having more such an intellectual focused on bringing economic and political liberty for African people. He prescribes the right medication for those who stay on power for life time and dictatorial leaders.God bless him
You're right but at the same time overtaken by emotions of sadness because some of us Africans are so selfish we sale out our content to the interests working against Africans.
Hopfully they are hearing the thing is most African leaders are very laid back to react or take action, some of them alrady been sold out, sorry to say that
I am currently in college majoring in business management with a minor in computer science and hopefully going to grad school. I am glad youtube provided with all of this information about Africa (my homeland) because the education system in America doesn't. After my studies I want to go back to Africa and help it thrive with all of the knowledge and expertise that I have gained over the last couple years. I really believe there is a huge potential to grow as a country if all of the africans come back to Africa (human capital). Like if you agree. CHANGE IS ON THE WAY!
I don't see it no time soon and that's very sad not to return to uplift the continent. As the Professor stated in another speech Africans have gotten too comfortable in European Nations and America.
@@sunnijames2802 I could only talk about the experiences I had with African Americans (AA) in the United States, but most of them have a strong faith/urge in moving back and learning more about Africa. There are still some that think they are Americans; they are just now realizing that they are Africans (not African American). This subtle change in definition and mindset will set off a revelation. Cheers to the future!
@@hassanabdi8961 all ppl in America are Americans and if you don't think so then you should be in a different country. Do white Americans see themselves as euro? No, do Thai Americans see themselves as Thai ppl, no? We are Americans not Africans
I'm an European, pan-europeanist and I approve this speech 100%. I dream to see a free, independent Africa from which we could buy resources, already mined and transformed by Africans, for a fair market price. I truly hope you guys achieve this some day.
@@KurwaRomek Cynical iconoclasts do not have a place. Why are you saying that of which you know is not true. Western Europe is a mausoleum. A continent of the walking dead that is not viable. The only way, meaning, no other way, western Europeans can haunt the world of living people is to live off the misery they cause. Look around your flat. Look out your window. Do you see your community? Take a trip around your town or city. Look at all the things around you. Take it in with the pleasure of success. Sit yourself down on a park bench and then ruminate. I just stumbled upon this video during my research on 'decolonizing post-colonial cinema' and I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by this speaker! I'm not African but every word resonates with me because most of it rings true for all former colonies and how their futures are constantly being re-colonized or even self-colonized by Western forces, whether or not they're conscious of it. The greatest tragedy is that voices like Prof. Lumumba are always ignored by their corrupt political leaders all over the world :-(
Prof. PLO Lulumba is an amazing scholar, historian, a passionate Pan-Africanist and truly a motivational speaker!! I can’t stop listening to his speeches all the time. Our PM Abiy picked the right person to influence his new cabinet, this one week training is going to be an eye opener for them and l wish the entire training is open for public like this speech. Thank you our wise leader PM Abiy!! It is my dream that you will be the Pan-African leader once Africans are ready, for the next 10 years you are only ours, God bless you and your family!!
Such a smart, intellect, power speech. Everything this great man said he truly meant and spot on. I'll be watching this speech over and over again. I think all the leaders of Africa should put their ego aside and put the continent and people of Africa first. Unity is the way out of this mess the colonist have created in our continent. Thank you for sharing this powerful speech. Much love!
Am a 24years old ugandan youth, and am thanking you so much and may our leaders buy a leaf from your words and wisdom. May God help you to be our President (leader) of united states of Africa.because you can make it you are so courageous you can unit Africans with GOD 's wisdom and help plus yours at large.

Africa should raise people like him through him while he is still with us. This is the mistake we make time and time again. Apart from Dr. Arikana Chihombori how many of his likes have we in Africa who will speak truth to power. Well done Prof. and thank you for educating us on our motherland.
I'm inspired by this man, watching from Samoa and it's important that we all go through same issues. We, the indigenous people of the world need more leaders like Prof PLO Lumumba..
Prof. Lumumba is a real gem for Africa This speech is to be heard by all progressive Africans who wants to bequeath a better Africa to the up coming generation.
As a Foundational Black American l agree. I was so moved by this speech...l watched it twice. How powerful 👏! I hope my brothers and sisters in The Motherland take heed before it's too late. Our ancestors are watching...
I am from Sudan.🇸🇩 I loved your wonderful way of thinking. This is what we would like to have in our mother continent, the sweet and beautiful Africa, with its green land, its precious minerals and all its wealth.
An iconic Professor seen in Kenya-East Africa as Martyer for Pna-Africanism Movemnet. Let us follow Professor PLO Lumumuba. African leadership Excellence Academy could keep up inviting similar professors.
You are God sent to educate the people of this world. I have always ask myself, "Why does one African country require a Visa for another?" It's very stupid, ridiculous. Disunity. Thank you Professor. Great speech. Many black people are totally lost in society trying to be Americans or something else.
I am an African American woman and I cherish those among us who bravely speak the truth. This man is a truth-speaker; we must be wise enough to listen.
You guys don't get it, and apparently, he has not yet got it into his head either. Europeans will never Allow Africa to develop its own resources, for without those resources they as a people will not survive. So it's African survival or European survival, I know which horse I am betting on. Not clear on how they will be applying the land clearance act, that is a tricky one for them for now. They are presently preparing the scapegoat so we know they are busy working on the land clearance Act
Wow!!! I was expecting that Prof. Lumumba shall be invited to give a talk on the Prime minster's inauguration day. This professor is a proud African that consistently calling for African leaders to work towards African unity. If there are just few Africans like him, Africa could have been USA (United States of Africa).
Deep respect to one of Africa's greatest minds. May your admonishments be heeded and may you see the beginnings of a pan-African movement within your lifetime. Thank you for the most inspiring speech of the past decade.
Listening to this African’s son, I am elevated and feel energized to stand for our motherland. We need our defence, own currency and use ethnicity as diversity instead of division. We can overcome everything as one otherwise, the colonizer is on the door. Abi Amed od Ethiopia has shown us that together we can solve all the African problems regardless of the borders which had imposed by imperialism.

I am with you. I am talking about Africa as a whole. Africa is a very blessed continent full of milk and honey. we African people especially our leaders have exported almost all milk and honey and they have dug in from the left over for themselves and forgot the people/ population who trusted and voted for them to hold political positions so they can use the richest of our African land properly without discrimination so we can all be benefited and come as one and help one another and live peacefully. instead, we let the outside enemies who come in sheep clothes and invade our continent and create wars among ourselves. African wherever you are! please open up our eyes and be bold, be courageous, and say yes to unity, one love, and sustained development to all people of the African continent wherever you reside.
If this is the best speech I've heard about Pan Africanism, then I haven't heard any. Prof your voice shall echo thru the ages... Bless you sir The closing ideology was flawless...
I feel no wastage of time spending all my hours listening to this wisdom, Africa must wake from it's lazing bed, bed that's neither sweet nor tasty but fully bitter and full of bedbugs , but we force ourselves to it.
Wonderful speech. I'm a Bulgarian and I've lived and worked in Nigeria for many years and I fully sympathize and support the African cause. I was blessed to know and work with many wonderful Africans and I feel the pain and injustice done from the old colonial powers and the new-old ones, who now have decided to colonize the entire world behind the covid mask with their Great Reset of WEF and all their supranational organizations like WHO, IMF, WB etc. More than ever now we need every nation on Mother Earth to rise up for sovereignty and put an end to century old world domination of one or two powers - mainly the Anglosaxon empire and the Chinese resource harvesting. On the other hand, don't be fooled, what this guy is talking is globalism the type of EU which seizes national sovereignty and transfers it to unelected bureaucrats who are beholden to transnational corporations and have evil ideologies for one world government and absolute dictate with one policy, one legal system, one currency. This is what is destroying the European nations today. Similar thing in Africa will reagionalize Africa as one legal and economic entity among few other such global unions and it's a dream come true for the power hungry elites of the world. A union is good so long as it preserves and insists on being a union of sovereign nations and not of powerless people under one corporate and bureaucratic political dictate. Don't be fooled and be cautious what you support and how you do it!
Ok @Stefano Gilermo, if African unity is a dream come true for the globalists, why was the idea attacked in South Africa when the African leaders decided to come together?
@@chijiokemadubuko9004 Because a genuine union between sovereign nations with patriotic leaders is something the globalist cannot control. It is why they killed Gadafi who wanted a unified currency backed by gold.

@@abdikani5648 I'm no one's agent but mine agent, and I speak from experience which you do not have. If you read carefully, I did not say Africa should not be united, on the contrary!!! I only urged you to be careful who sells you what and how he tries to sell it to you, because some "purchases" are very harmful and long lasting. In case you haven't noticed, neocolonialism is creeping in again. Understood?
My state Cameroon is even trying to divide the more. How I wish that I knew exactly what to do to foster the unity of my people. Not just Cameroon but the entire Africa to stop wars and unite as one nation.
What a beautiful speech ,full of new vision for this great continent of Africa. The vision I hope inspires for unified action.I am not African heritage, but personally have observed one simple cornerstone which could also change the future of leadership in Africa's future and that is to value healthy early childhood.Because when you experience deep trauma as child, the adaptive strategy which helped the child to survive will say with this child for life.It first of all kills self love, secondly dehumanizes you.And no matter how big is the population it is hard to force connect with others for very big ideas, when deep inside you are not connected to yourself.
I've just come across this man's speech. I am from Mali, and sometime said to my friends at a gathering that if as Africans we don't put in place a defense industry, capable of competing with what's happening in the west, our recolonization would be easier than the one our anceators faced. Let's think of our future,
@Larry Moran i guess you missed that i meant in my first post. I solely mean to put a défense industry in place, and not to depend on others. Africa, with a visionary, and virtuous leadership won't be incapable of it.
Great man on the continent of Africa, Professor Lumumba. His speech might be look so unique for some current Ethiopian leaders. They need to be kicked out from their office if they are not sufficient to lead African in the right direction. Uniting Africa is must and that is the only direction!
We Africans are good at saying something beautifully, but we must start to learn of how to do, of how to work together for our common benefit, and of how to learn how to create things methodically.
Simple.. Look what Dr Abiy of Ethiopia is doing. Big step starts with a single step..and, dont underestimate the invitation of big scholars like Dr Lumumba in the ministerial meeting.
