My daughter served in the Peace Corps and lived in Lesotho for 22 months. She returned to the states in early 2020 and had a somewhat difficult readjustment, as she missed Lesotho so much. She was a primary teacher in the beautiful mountain kingdom and she fell in love with the people, the culture and especially the kids. I knew very little about Lesotho until my daughter moved there. She can't wait to return one day. Thank you for sharing your experience there.

Very interesting.. . but I wish you would not be so close to the edge when you're in high places... and all it would have taken would have been one very powerful wind out of nowhere throwing you off balance... my knees and ankles were cringing. ( although I did like T-Rex up there , haha. ) I was also cringing looking at the other vid of the disco party at dawn when I saw you running down that mountain . I'm very serious when I tell you I am not getting a good feeling about you being too close to the edge at high places ... please do be more careful . It was very beautiful in the valley .. lovely waterfalls ... thanks for the lovely views. But I did feel bad for that young man who was trying to touch your equipment.. it was obvious he had some kind of disability but was a gentle soul . I know you did not want your equipment to be damaged but should you ever run into a situation like that again perhaps just chat and be friendly with the person for a few minutes as it could mean all the difference in the world to them... maybe give them some of your snacks or a little bit of money... actually I do believe that if you had shown him footage of the dancing T-Rex ,oh my God, that is so funny ..I think that would have really made him happy for days and days . It seems nowadays there are more and more disabled people than ever before ; so there is a likelihood this situation could happen again. ( not to mention how many of your viewers might have a disabled loved one ).
I was born in Lesotho and spent 2 1/2 yrs in Europe and 45 yrs in California. I just moved back in 2017 and Lesotho has so much potential but it’s Government has to do a better job for its people and investing in the resources so the country can do better

@@vickie9326 in south Africa there are many south African sotho than in Lesotho, same as Botswana, to say South african hate Lesotho it will be misleading, in government level, south African is deeply involve in political problems in Lesotho, using government resources, my personal experience is that south African don't hate any African , put failure of African leaders always put poor south African with other poor migrant in higher risk of conflict for few available resources in south Africa, south Africa don't have refugees camps like most African countries like kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Rwanda, ...etc, it mean township are becoming refugees camp, and I also think , e.g. if someone from Zimbabwe commit murder in SA it became worse than same crime commited by south african, if crime is by south african is south african problem but if is a foreigner they don't know where to start....I can talk about lot of things I see around SA and foreigners, Due to population size , I don't think south African do have problems with people from Lesotho, you may know maybe few bad experience but it does not mean whole country hate Lesotho
@@vickie9326 I live in south Africa, and people who come to another African country who have less chance of been attack is people from Lesotho and Botswana, around 2008, I was staying in squattercamp around JHB, I know another family from Lesotho, but they attack people from Zimbabwe and Mozambique but left that family from Lesotho, In issue of jobs, I think if African people don't tell each other a true it will be a big mistake, unemployment in south Africa is around 29%, and due to high illigal migrants, some estimates up to 3 millions and majority of them it will be from poor background, is easy for some employees to employ illigal migrant because they will pay them less and they will not put them in legal problems like south african, for example, in problem of truck driver, I don't have valid statistics but it seem more companies employs foreigners than south African which also cause lot of problem right now, people who work as drive truck say things like this , maybe they have better information than us In my view problems don't start in south Africa but when African leaders fail their citizen and this cause some to leave home due to economical reasons, is the root cause, corruption by Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Nigerian ..etc politicians is the mayor issue in Africa,

Both my parents were in the Lesotho mounted police in the 70s. Beautiful countryside but a real poor country. Spent a lot of time playing with both the princes at that time but then had to go to school in the UK and lost touch. Good days.
