Mambo! 😃 I actually moved to Kenya with my family of 4.. 5 months ago to Kenya 🇰🇪 without ever visiting and I really enjoy it here! Just subbed! Pan African/ RU-vidrs stand up! 🎉🫶🏾

The guy has not gone through school from the questions he asks…From saying he worked as a beach boy, he might not have been lucky to complete his high school education…very common in parts of Kilifi and coast but the situation is changing. Not many Kenyans are race conscious even though we are taught as it doesn’t affect us in Kenya. For example, I didn’t recognize I was black until I travelled outside africa. That’s when I started to recognize racism as a world problem. I can’t wait to come back home, I feel emotionally drained. Enjoy your time in Nairobi.

Hi guys, I travel to Nairobi for about a month every three months or so. I'm not familiar with South8 but am very familiar with Kileleswhwa, Karen, Kilimani, Westgate, Lavington etc. I was wondering if you had looked in those areas. I have found that the neighborhood that an apartment is in may provide more reliability, water, electric, closer access to matatus, etc. Also, nighttime lighting in some areas is really bad, and that can be a real issue. Anyway, I absolutely love Nairobi, the people, the food, the culture. Good luck.

Fellow African-American here... enjoyed watching you traverse some the areas I saw during my visit(s) to Kenya. I really felt at home there. Each morning when I left the Apt compound a really cool guard used to always greet me the words - "together"... he was right, it is the only way fwd for Africans around the world. You do look Luo though - lol😉 I too was often mistaken for Kenyan (Kikuyu or Maasai), until my American accent exposed me😎 Truth is, my DNA shows I'm part Kenyan Maasai. Great Content - subscribed

I thought they were a bit pricey, there are better and cheaper towns to live in Kenya such as Nakuru for example, same amount of cash you will get a nicer house in a cleaner environment, my opinion.

I think I would choose the first apartment but honestly they all look pretty nice!

Great video, totally awesome, I'm also a U.S. citizen traveling through Africa to start new businesses in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and other neighboring countries, so believe it or not I'm actually from Iran originally, so I'm not from Africa either but I'm still going to get my own national ID, buy property and build my own home in Kenya and other neighboring countries, so I'm real glad to see other foreign citizens living across Africa and we help breakdown all African stereotypes, that I'm still learning on my own and your video here really helped me better understand the African American ("Black") experience here in the states, as well as a foreigner across Africa, either case keep up the work, looking forward to checking out your videos.

Proximity to the City Center raises your rent significantly. For the same apartment, further away from the City Center can reduce your rent by as much as 50% or more. Consider suburbs like Ruaka, Kitengela, Thika Road, Ongata Rongai for excellent apartments under $200 a month that are 45 minutes to the City Center.

How do you choose a house in Kenya. You choose a Mall that you like because that is the place everything happens. Then you go there and walk around until you find a building that you like. You ask the gate keep if there are vacancies. If they have what you are looking for you go see it. You ask what is last price for the apartment and how much is deposit. If you like it or not you walk away and go to the next building you like. Until you are sure you found the best possible place for you budget. You go there and start negotiating the price - eh 400 dollars is above you budget etc. Every time he comes up with another price you have to find another excuse. Why you have to do that. Everybody has a price range ant not really a price. When you agree to 400 the real price might be 360 and the gatekeeper gets 40 dollars every month. Find an excuse to talk to the owner. if you agreed to a price you might be able to move in same day if you have a rent plus another rent as deposit. I guarantee you that 80% of the buildings have a free apartment. No need for agency.

$900 for 3 weeks? 😒😳 Absolutely not! Respectfully, I paid $600 per month in Thailand for a high rise 1br with full amenities (pool, gym, etc) in Thailand. I wouldn't pay that much in the middle of the hood.

Racism exist in Kenya as well ladies, you will see white women being treated better than you. Yes America is not perfect, but lets give a more balanced view, and your ancestors faced serious racism, we have become soft, and some of us carry this victim mentality. There is no where on the planet that offer as much opportunity for people of color point blank, and that is coming for someone that would love to spend time in Kenya.
