Now I see why other Africans are jealous of you Black south Africans, I was always wondering why they say negative things about you and I wouldn't see south Africans saying anything bad pertaining their countries on their channels since I'm interested in relocating there. You have done what they are still unable to do in less than 27 years even after their 60 years of independence. For them this village would be a suburb but you guys see it as a village props to you 👏👏 I'm relocating there this March love from Atlanta

I've lived in America for 23 years and I'm building a house in my ancestral land in Eastern Cape and I'm sharing my journey on my channel. I talked to the chief to convince him to allow people of African descent to BUY land so that the money can be used for village development. It is an easy thing to do to raise funds to help. But we do want to be selective in who we allow into our villages. In 2016 I took my African-American friends to South Africa for 15 days and we spent over a million rands living it up. Next time I want to take them to the village once my house is done.

I look at many South Africans and honestly you all remind me most of us here in Black Americans out of all of the other continental Africans. There is no way our bloodlines are only from West and Central Africa. Our people definitely migrated all across the continent. Alot of people dont realize there are a number of us African Americans with DNA found in both Southern African regions as well as Madagascar. So many of you look JUST like us, from the lightest to the darkest. Even just the energy many of you have its very similar. Not to mention the swag and other things. i am definitely coming to The Motherland and SA is one of my top destinations.

Do come, you'll fit right in. The same taste in music is definitely something we share with African Americans. Going all the way back to the 50s. Rock 'n Roll, R&B, Jazz and Blues. So it's not uncommon to find a cherished R&B collection consisting of Patti La Belle, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Roberta Flack, Carole King, Jeffrey Osborne, Donny Hathaway, James Ingram, Micheal McDonald, Kenny Logan, Steve Perry, Diana Ross, Stephanie Mills, Micheal Bolton or Shirley Brown, etc. in any home. Can you believe that Al Jerreau came back twice to perform here😀 Male groups like the Temptations, O'Jays, Blue Magic, Whispers, Stylitics, Spinners, Maze, Shalamar.... you name them... they were household names when we were growing up. Isn't it funny, people from the country side in SA were more drawn to country music like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Dobbey Gray and them😆🤗

@donaldmacdonald9993

What I like about our rural development is that, it is happening organically under the radar and nobody is loud about it. Twenty years from now rural areas will be places to which our people migrate. The second phase should be to use rural areas as spring board nodes for manufacturing and processing of agricultural products, thereby creating jobs for local people. People have started the process the government needs to come on board by building the requisite infrastructure. South African government and traditional leaders should discourage continental Africans from acquiring land in rural areas in SA, they have vast tracts of land in their countries which needs to be developed. The African American diaspora is a special case, precisely because they are a marginalsed minority, 12% to be exact, in a country controlled by racists. They have no chance whatsover in the foreseable future to meaningfully control American politics and economy, because in a democracy numbers count. Other races, such as Latinos, Asiatics and Caucasians have no proven track record of treating black people with respect anywhere in the world. What is so scary, the Latinos and Asiatics numbers are growin exponentialy in that country. Given past and present experience it is highly unlikely that Asiatics and Latinos will in earnest ever side with African American in their struggle against economic and political marginalisation. Over and above that they never chose to be separated from their kin and kith, our cruel African brothers sold them into slavery like their are continuing to traffick our daughters into overseas sex dens.

Thank you Donald for this comment. These are types of dialogues we should have to figure out how to, when to , where to and with whom to should we work in this process of developing our rural areas. We should not forget that it does not end with agricultural sector. Our tourism can really strengthen if we utilise what we already have in the rural areas to attract visitor. Training in that sector is also crucial. 🙏🏾❤️🇿🇦

This is so inaccurate, just like in south Africa, coloured people are marginalized the Latinos face the same if not more rasicm. Honestly this is why I'm leaving this continent, the hate grows unabated and so does the rasicm. It's always a matter of us VS them. If not south Africa vs Zim then it's black VS whites. It's the first sin committed by the devil, racism and he's been tricking mankind with it ever since. The world is rotten with rasicm. I look in disbelief the hate south Africans give to the rest of the African diaspora that live in our country, it's appalling. I always think if the shoe were in the other foot and we needed asylum, how would we be treated by our Zim brothers and Malawian brothers. As it is we are starting to see the effects of poverty result in looting and burning of buildings because of government recklessness and negligence of state funds and the capturing of organizations. Early signs of a revolt by desperate people struggling to put food on the table. We need to wake up, we are in for a rude awakening if government corruption isn't checked then we can kiss all our progress goodbye in years to come. A whole lot of South Africans sounding like Donald Trump...

Black's! Black's black's..... What treasure does SA have? Let me tell you, the treasure that Africa need is white people. All other African countries have mineral resources, but not been exploited yet, it's only white people who know how to use mineral resources to develop a country, that's why, you see SA is best because of white people still there, SA must think twice to make a decision to move white people. Because once they decide to do so SA will be poor like no other. If Zimbabwe is struggling like this, how about SA with no less than 4%Qualified professional skilled citizens. It will be a disaster mark my word.

You're right, SA citizens can relate better with African American, because all of them are lazy, they have been raised by white people, they can't figure it out life by themselves in the absence of whites . That is the truth. Other Africans, they're tough and they create life out of nothing, I really salute those African Americans who want raw Africa to open up new ways of living beside white people in front of them in Africa, those Americans are really what we call (African simba) for sure, they want to survive African life, until they make the life they want, and from their on, the whole generation which will become after them will be free from white hurts.

I think African - Americans could have access to villages land on the basis that (1) they have residency in South Africa, (2) they will be expected to pay a certain amount of money in Setswana we call it "nthole" or "setlhako sa kgosi" essentially money that is paid to the tribal authority. This money contribute to tribal fund used towards building of village schools, primary health care facilities such as clinics, etc. One need to bear in mind many rural village schools during apartheid, were built by villagers. There was little to no support from the then central government. Bantustand governments were incapacitated for the most part. Thus, it was upon villlage tribal authorities to construct public facilities such as roads, water, education and health.

Proximity and similarity of history makes South Africans relate better with African Americans than many other Africans. They understand each other better without trying too hard and conversations are not too far apart. Honestly me and my siblings born in the 80's and 70's, African Americans and Jamaicans were the only black people we knew existed, not because of ignorance but because those who oppressed us decided what information was good for us. I noticed the same with my parents, they listened to African American music from their times. My mother still gets emotional when I play Brook Benton's song "Oh Lord, Why Lord" as it was banned in South Africa but some she had the record and played it with absolute discrepancy otherwise she'll be jailed. So that understanding of culture, history and way of life resonated with our parents and filtered down to us. Anyway my 2 cents

Another thing most South Africans go to cities to work and live in shacks close to their work while they have built mansions in their rural homes. The media shows those shacks and most people will perceive that blacks are still so backward and oppressed while reality is very different. I grew up in a small village called Ibisi, in Umzimkhulu KZN. If you can see what our parents and now us have done to our area in the past 39yrs it's hard to believe. But you will never see that in yhe media. Thank you again for showing true version of what South Africans are striving to do.

Wow I havent been watching your videos for a while, they have a warm feeling to it. You must be funded for doing this especially the extending your hand to the African Diaspora, well done to be honest. But I still stand you must be funded or be an ambassador for tourism and business in Rural Area sector. I am South African by naturalization but Zimbabwean by Birth. I have been in this country for 16 years 8 months exactly, my folks came here as critical skills workers in the field of education and engineering. And I will say there is a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to South african and African relations. In my 16 years, lets say 90% of south africans were very welcoming and the rest wasnt... simply because its their opinion but it did not make me think the whole country is like that unless you are in the country amongst the locals... I am not happy about @Jakes Phosh comment as he is an African American who does not know the Continental experience even though he is trying to sympathize with south africans like an normal human being would. He is going spread unnecessary info to his community and it further divides Black people in general. Another thing I wish foreign nationals in this country and future African Americans who will live here is to be humble, it takes you a very long way. I have been hosted by South African government for 16 years And I cant complain for the most as a legal citizen. In as much it is his opinion, it is very inflammatory when there are Africans who are not hateful to their host and i speak for them. Just because there is a small number of people who are not welcoming does not mean the whole country is like that. And for an African American to delve into a very sensitive issue like this with generalizing something he saw a few doing will just cause slow progress to the black community. No lies this country is beautiful we can learn a thing or two, but one must not forget those countries he talks shit about used to be countries with dignity. I enjoy these videos simply because of the warmth that is familiar to me, even though I have a husband here, I get very uneasy to own anything here because my people made it possible for us to be hated because of certain behaviours my people do. Sis Velile did not make this channel for people to be high on opinion and divisive. She is a lifestyle RU-vidr who is doing justice for own country and to those who find it a problem, they need help. Sustaining dignity and getting rid of bad people in the rural areas should be every South African priority. Yes, I am patriotic and tired of seeing young educated South Africans without jobs. Thank you for watching. I appreciate. 🙏🏾❤️

@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV thank you for replying. I am also passionate about Agriculture as well especially organic farming. Start a Patreon and i am very much guaranteed everyone who watches your channel will fund/donate... me included. Women and Children need to be put on the fore front in the rural economy. I will spread the word to more of my friends ... they are rural lovers themselves i only get to see them once in a while in Pietermaritzburg were i grew up. Also Black Professionals must be marketed this page to, of which i will do. Their "professional" badge will encourage their peers to invest in the rural economy. Thanks again, Wish to see 1 million subscribers soon

From the begining of oppression, black people were since put aside in Bantustans - away from the mainstream. It's so impressive and I'm proud to see the black South Africans developing and turning things around. Be careful though, vultures and scavengers are watching and strategizing.
