ameliaturk8554 Foundational Black American men. Keep that in mind. This young brother is the only one that challenges his talking point when it comes to africa
What a brilliant young man! Very refreshing to hear someone who is open minded and intelligent. Live and let live. Too many people try to inflict their values and beliefs on others.
Around,7:25 the conversation of bribes I can relate, my Father was a judge in the Caribbean and was offered a job relocating to another island, he was told at the door, he would have to take bribes, he was shocked but declined, so he didn't get hired. He attempted to create a private investigator business on his own and was blocked because of jealousy. He ended up moving back to his island and start a ministry with his wife. He's so happy now, no corruption just helping people live a clean spiritually moral life!
Mark we were only liberated less than 30years ago after over 300 years of oppression . So it is normal for the older people to feel indebted to former freedom fighters. But in South Africa the younger people in their mid 40s as well as the born frees ( born after 1994 )will not be held hostage by that kind of thinking. So we do speak up . What helps us and differentiates us from many African states is that we speak as South Africans not as a particular tribe or race. So our voices are powerful. Every single political party has many different races and tribes so we only want to hear what their policies are .
I have not witnessd this it seems tribalism is still as devisv as ever the decendents of the khoisan are the most marginalised ppl in this country as bad as if not worst than the aboriginal ppl of australia but i pray that this unity u speak of will b a reality one day
@@khoicpt there is no such thing as Khoi, that's a white man's coinage. secondly you are not are a kwe, u are just a lost cape Town coloured and it's sad that y'all have straight hair which there has never ever been a Kwe who has straight, the Kwe have wat we call k*ffir hair
I want to go to South Africa because it seems like we can relate. You guys are doing good. We've been free in America for 70 years, and we are still bowing to our freedom fighters that are doing absolutely nothing for us. We are the same. I hear it is so beautiful there.
@@Tommy-km4wo Thank you, we are doing our best . We will get it right eventually. We are quite similar. Yes SA is beautiful especially in Spring and Summer . People are also very friendly . You will enjoy your visit.
I admire Goblack for his patience and wisdom in this conversation, i also admire the young man for his intelligence and openness. Looking forward to more of these discussions.
I get what Brother Mark is saying! He is saying that “LEGALLY” he is an American which is correct’ and “LEGALLY” you are an American Brother go black unless you gave up your citizenship!
Mark was spot on about debating the Lion analogy. I'm a supporter of both and I do understand the point that GoBlack is trying to make. Of course Diasporan's are descendants from Africa ..but to Mark's point, you show up with an American passport talking about you're not American and they are going to look at you're confused. We are African's, born in America, with American citizenship ..GOING BLACK TO AFRICAAAA!!!! :D Love the discourse gentlemen, keep keeping on!! Speaking of Lion's -- GoBlack's nails are CLAWS. Ha ha.
Good to see you two together again- another great conversation! Man and young Man. Mark has youth on his side and will learn, soak up and grow even more. Be well Bros!
Woww. I am from Tanzania living in the US and I love you two brothers for your dedication to explore African countries. It's unbelievable how y'all can have that long critical conversation about Africa, America and lion without even sipping on anything.😀😀😀
America is a mess. But I'm not angry. Open heart Open mind. Africa has its issues too. This young man has a great mind. Go black, I pray for your inner healing. You have really drank the coolaid. You can really learn from this young man. Wisdom reigning.
I like the practical, thoughtful & respectful exchange you guys had. Our knowledge & quotes are sometimes informed by different experiences, books or writers. We don't need to make those our overarching guide. Critical thinking helps avoid fundamental treachery to intellectual integrity.
This kind of exchange between an elder and a young man is inherently a long standing practice in many cultures as a way of passing knowledge and cultural practices while addressing community and social concerns. It's a dying practice in many places today as people rely more on the Media, Social Media and the Internet. 😥
mark is a very intelligent young man simple,i think goblack and him have a good communications spirits, looking forward to meet with them Jan 2024 at my home when i move back the end of Dec 2023.(Am Tanzania and 43 now being in usa since 99)glandly to return back.
You are so right. The same thing is happening in Jamaica. The government is very corrupt also, gangster-style, and suppressive. Many people on the island are of the same mentality also, even though they say they want crime to be less and corruption to be less, some will go and extort the local store or do reprisal killing.
It was NOT like that when I was growing up in Jamaica 40 years ago. Things have deteriorated down to this lifestyle. People use to be their brother's keepers. The middle class has been decimated and forced to migrate to other parts of the world and all that is left are the very POOR and the RICH who only care about materialism.
Goblack and Mark are very smart but mark is way advanced in his emotions how he thinks his way more logical than Goblack in my honest opinion Goblack thinks emotional from the black oldhead mindset and his viewpoint is from the american way mark try to understand africans throught their eyes and thats why i always see just because you old doesnt mean your speakin fact or logic
Thank you GoBlack for acknowledging your frustrations with Ghana and how they scam people. I spoke with you in person about how i was scammed. I have let it go because I should have known better!
@@mikejones-wn1sw Good ?. Some of US will not listen, even after so many warnings. GoBlack shook his head when I told him I bought land Unseen. I learned my lesson the hard way. Won't happen again!!!
This young man from America so far, sounds like he has The Spirit of ...."The Chosen Few"...!!! Let's see for how far he gets "The Support and Backing of Our Ancestors" in his extraordinary journey through Life"" Wishing "Mark Meets Africa" The Very Best Life Has To Offer...!!! Keep On Truckin' On...JAH GUIDES.
That Nigerian/Singapore comparison is like comparing apples and oranges. Nigeria's population is 200 million people, and Singapore is 5.4 million people. 1 billion US dollars each, spent by each country, will produce different outcomes. More roads will be paved in Singapore than in Nigeria.
Mark is young but definitely has an old man's deep wisdom, he shares my idealogy of of systemic nomenclature of being who the system says you are by you accepting a passport...yet one has to formulate his culture, which is how God created us to be....and the process of 'BE' is hat I call being, like doing is the process of do. Good and bad are relative to who is not benefiting from a system. So everything is subjective and perception is based on an individual's extent, depth and area of knowledge...Also being African or citizenship can be by origin, adoption, birth, etc...hence the essence of dual citizenship ...just depends of individual perspective...Great discuss. By the way the bible is not religion, religion is a man made process of tting to explain God, yet it has nothing with the original intent of the bible nor Jesus. One love always GoBlack... Jah bless y'all.
I understand Mark's point of view regarding being an American. I was born in America, thus I am an American even though my ancestors are from Africa. Amen
@@deelovely once again, for all the slow people in the back, YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN THATS NOT ONLY AN ETHNICITY ITS ALSO A CULTURE YOU CANT BE BORN INTO…YOU ARE A CITIZEN UNDER THE USA WHO HAS BEEN GIVEN THE PRIVILEGE TO BE HERE, which can be taken you can’t take away an American from being an American
@@extinctprism8958 North Americans and South Americans are Americans don't you?..🤔 Remenber we are American country like African, Asian and European By the way "The Americas" is the same concept, like North and South Koreans Are Korean don't you?
@@onpointlistenup3637listen stop the hate they both have much to say. And they are saying exactly what u are doing. Picking sides. 2 brothers talking a good talk. Grow up!!!! Wake up!!!
In South Africa it's not about tribes…South African tribes are united on political matters. For example, the current President of South Africa comes from the smallest tribe in South Africa, the Vendas. The leader of the DA comes from the white community and they are also the minority, Julius Malema comes from the second smallest tribe in South Africa and he is the leader of the third biggest political party in South Africa. The bigger tribes such as the Zulus and Xhosas are not leading any big political organization in South Africa at the moment. So sometimes it's not about tribes…we fight with our governments because we want them to do better…in my view the South African government is not doing too bad, but it can do better, hence we always demand more etc. Africans are rising, I think the next generation will do better than the current generation in Africa…we want our continent to rise. We need to unite and do business with each other.
Go Black means just that Go Black. You brought this young man on and he is a very intelligent and highly spiritual being just like you!! We are created to be. I am. You are educating. you are showing. you are being. Bless both of you for being.
Mark needs to develop a pause button when he's engaged in discussions with other people. He has valid points to make but you cant steamroll ahead and talk over the other person all the time when you're supposed to be having a conversation😅
Maybe he is tired of people thinking they can manipulate and control his thinking and ideologies. He has learnt a lot in the last 3 years and he has seen how people who undermine him because of his age think they can brainwash him. He has also learnt about influence and deception and has probably decided to break free and assert himself more.
@@dinaledi4085 talking over someone you're having a conversation with and not even allowing them to answer or make a contribution at every point is not asserting oneself. That's just being rude and in fact shows low self-esteem that he cannot let someone else make their point ever. GB2A wasn't trying to manipulate him, he was genuinely asking for his opinion on life in Tanzania and how he (Mark) is coping with all the challenges
Mark, you’re a great guy! only listening any person would think that you’re an old wise man but I’ll stick with the “wise” ‘cause I watch a few of your videos & that’s what I concluded. It’s a pleasure to talk to you, to listen to you, to discuss about anything with you; listening to you, without a curse, without any heated argument. You almost convinced to move to Tanzania even though I’m a peruvian living in SFlorida for more than 30 yrs & I always wanted to something for the needy in my dear old country. I salute you bro & good luck in everything you do. I’m sure that a bright future awaits you somewhere!!!
This is why I do not have discussions about religion or politics with people that are not of like mind. You can never change them so, don't even try. You have to find people with like minded mind to discuss these subjects. It is a waste of time. The young brother is OK with LGBQ. It is a waste of time because he is distance from the one most high. He is still sleeping is is not awake. He accepts what the one most high will not accept. His understanding of the book is totally different from yours. He will wake up hopefully before it is too late. Only 1/3 of us will will awaken from this sleep.
Discovered this channel a few days ago and kept checking out videos. This conversation made me a substantial and supporter. Conversation reminded me of those I have with some of my best friends regularly. Great intelligence and insight from both. And at 40:30- that Kenyan woman is FINE af!!!
This is by far the best candid exchange. The two of you need to collaborate more often. Fyi: it has gotten dark outside, norice the background 😂..what a good exchange looks like.
Hi brother, love the channel. I have some questions hope you don´t mind. I love when the African American brothers and African brothers come together, but I don´t understand why is it that when our US brothers come to Africa, they are so judgmental about our society. They judge the way we live compering us to their standard of living. Other nationalities have less of a hard time adapting to African societies than Americans, why is that?
I think because they probably care more than other people, rather being indifferent. They’re actually having a conversation about Africa and the world.
Great discussion and appreciated the heated debate at times. I'm not Christian, but I think it makes sense for Mark to quote the Bible to this audience since so many are followers of it. Mark comes across as much more of a spiritual person, not Christian, and he has studied the Bible. So, he is very well-informed. I greatly appreciated the distinction made between land masses and names of places, borders, passports etc. God-made vs. man-made. God does not destruct; however, man does and we see it everywhere. God does not do away with his people, people chose to do away with God. "What would God do?" should be a guiding principle for all and this world would be a much kinder, gentler place. Thank you for this high discussion.
Big ups goblack2 A. for your patience and oldman wisdom with the young man...hooe he playback the interview and relearn...lights to you both for educating us 🙏😴
@Mark, I'm at the debate a 1hr about being "American" You said "I'm American, and Proud of it!" Why wouldn't you say " I'm African American....Proud to be an American?" Many descendants of immigrant people take pride in who they are before American. They only put American Pride first when they're singing a song, waving the flag, celebrating a holiday, or want their political voice heard. Outside of that , other than people who identify as mutts, white's embrace their heritage, nationality, and culture! Italians, proud to be so! Irish, proud to be so! Polish, proud to be so! Ukrainian, proud to be so! I dare you to ask our other brown brothers and sisters from places like South America, Middle East, North Africa etc....dare them to argue American pride over homeland pride??? So why do we South West African descendants not do the same? Just be we were forced here hundreds of years earlier?
Go black you see the training of the thought of the Mind he got a long way to go he think he got this s*** down Pact he haven't live long enough only what he see now you are an inspiration . Go back to Africa❤❤❤
Mark “needs to be right” and lack of listening skills, needs some work on. humility goes a long way Mark. I am much older than you and agree with lot of what you’re saying BUT I could never be doing GoBlack like that. Many wisdom in what GoBlack is saying also. Is there room in your spirit to learn from him?
You two still have a lot to learn. Yes, many countries gained independence years ago but Colonial nations never left. Western intelligence were still very much involved & basically ran affairs. Singapore vs Nigeria according to Mark. Singapore broke away from Malaya & became free. With Nigeria, the fissures from ethnicity, tribalism & sectarianism remain. Until African countries truly neutralise these lines of tensions within countries, they will struggle to operate as allies with neighbouring countries. As it stands, Ethno-tribalism & sectarianism will dominate Politics across borders.
I'm glad Mark made the comparison of Singapore and Nigeria being free the same amount of time Singapore has the most futuristic-looking Island I have seen. I believe that Nigeria should look like something out of the Predator's home planet landscape. Your conversation on the people not doing the work is spot on quit waiting on someone else, another thing I notice was Haiti and Cuba same problem Cuba should have flying cars electric cars and any other inventions again waiting on someone else Now Hatia has been free the longest if Voo doo, Vun Dun are whatever you call it, helped you defeat Napolian why would it not help you to be the richest South sea Island on the Southern hemisphere. I came up in the Vietnam War era Look at Vietnam today.
Both Haiti and Cuba were intentionally crippled financially by more powerful nations for very long periods of time. They are not good examples to use. Research it.
The mentality driven by poverty (and selfishness to a degree) leads some people to exploit, lie, cheat and steal. They're looking out for themselves. It's a sad situation. People don't know who to trust.
Mark is a very intelligent young man. I love both of you guys. Both points of view are great, but reality will stand until change. I smell a troll in the comments down below. Lol
The only thing that can help ease the strangle hold of corruption on Africa is for the countries to unite. Additionally, African governments have to recognize and acknowledge this problem and be willing to accept professional help from from within the continent and the African diaspora (all people of African heritage living outside the African continent worldwide).
I disagree, unification of africa is not what will solve the problem. Africans are too tribal for this to be the primary solution. Most of them don't marry other tribes in same country, now imagine African as a country . it will be just chaos. Regional unity maybe but not the entire continent.
Although Mark is a very Astute young man, what he's saying doesn't work in this world we live in! We can't function just as individuals! We must have groups that do Right by each other! So black Americans that go to Africa must start their own groups and utilize other groups to build together. If Mark tries to be good no matter the person has a weapon and or Ill intent to him, he will likely lose! Blacks all over the world do the same thing that those with power do to them, TAKE advantage! Go Black is doing the Same! Both need to put their 💰 where their mouths are!
Greetings. Mostly, I like both of your podcasts. However, I would like to know how can I get both of you to answer me? I want to come back to the Continent, but to a different place. In addition, what kind of Volunteer work is needed with Women and Children. Yes, I am an older, semi-retired woman. Too, I would like to reopen my business on the African Continent
Both of you brothers are not wrong. This conversation is one that's truly needed. It's time for us to define our own labels for language, continent, race and culture. Thanks for the deep and enlightening talk. You both truly open our eyes to some changes that must come for us.🙌😮🙏😊
I really didn't know that go black 2 Africa. Did not have any self-control. That was a terrible display of his lack of self-control, an envy towards mark.
Great conversation. Although one may live and generally operate within a system, that does not mean you have to have the mind of that system. Let this mind be in you that is also in....etc. Agree here with Go Black!
I would like to know more about Mark, his background and family. He has a lot to say about other people, it would be nice to know who is in his life. His passionate arguments will make more sense, when we understand his context. Otherwise, talk is just talk
Ronaldabuezubane, yes i agree with you. I have been watching him for sometime and yes he is intelligent and need more experience but something about him that don't feel right.
Mark have not bump his head into the brick wall enough yet in his lifetime. So that makes him clueless of certain things that he tried to debate about.
@Lov4Lamar247 I believe he's more literate than some African leaders posted to the high office. Some of these leaders just have no clue .or just incompetent.
@ronaldabuezubane7397 he is a Foundational Black American. Not an African. And he is probably one of the only ones who gives a honest assessment on that africa continent and the those African people. Does the truth hurt?
Reality: If looking for the best accountability, structure and fairness for business practices in general, then you will have to look to Rwanda, Mauritius, Botswana and perhaps South Africa and Namibia.
Sometimes a fruit falls from a tree and rolls so far away from its roots that it’s no longer of the tree. The hard fall , and long journey, bruises the fruit so much that it totally changes it. It’s the same way for some of our people. This is why some can’t be awakened regardless of how much truth you present to them. This journey has totally brainwashed them to such a degree that they’re no longer of the original tree. This it to the young man sitting with you on camera, he calls himself a proud American and is arguing with you to such a degree that there is no way of convincing him the truth, he won’t see it no matter how hard to try.
The lie part or religion is a black issue everywhere. All the problems even in Africa, same issue in black communities here in America . Is up to us to change from inside. Keep the good messages and keep doing the work my brothers
