The poor father was motivated by money,so he sold his daughter for money before seeing his religion and customs. It's not unusual to see this kind of thing happening in Ethiopia since they are very poor families desperate for a better life for themselves. The girl was educated and very beautiful but the father instead of saying convert and learn to be Muslim to make sure of HALAL marriage, he just says respect her religion and pay me whatever you can afford. That Chinese man looked decent and sure he would accept to convert Muslim had her father introduced the Muslim religion to him. Chinese culture is very respectful and loving. Chinese men are normally very family orientated and really helpful around children and the house, not like selfish African men. I am sure her religion will be respected by her Chinese husband and if she wishes to bring her kids up the traditional Muslim way, she would have no problem as Chinese culture is all about harmony, peace and respect for one another. Normally i know from my Muslim families and friends, when men are in side room, they never never sit with men together. Especially they are not married. So why now all men women sit together??? For camera or its when it is for for other country person???? Just curious😊

He will not convert. Although, he said his family have agreed to respect her religious practises. As for eating pork, it is a staple in China. He will never stop eating it. She doesn't have to if she wishes to continue practising her religion.

He hasn't and he will not. In my country, Muslim men and women marry Christians. Neither is forced to convert. They simply respect each other's religions.

However it is not permissible for Muslim MAN or WOMAN to marry anyone outside of these two religions. So if this man is Buddhist, Taoist, Confucianist or Atheist etc. it’s NOT considered a marriage no matter how many money, chickens and goats get exchanged. It’s in the Quran, it’s a command from Allah it has nothing to do with country.

Modernist scholars in many Muslim countries prefer to integrate the Qur'an with the realities of modern societies, offering interpretations that are relevant to contemporary issues, such as democracy, human rights, gender equality, etc. Finally the grammar of ancient Arabic is more complex and some ancient Arabic words are no longer in common use or have undergone semantic changes in today's Arabic. It seems rather silly for you to paste these rules in English.
