Zack, I enjoy your content and I am from the USA. This is what I do NOT understand about African development. I am a civil engineer, does Africa really know how many black engineers there are in the world who would GLADLY travel to Africa to help with the development? Africa has the needed labor force, Africa has the raw materials like sand, rocks asphalt, concrete to develop itself. If they had say 40 million dollars to go say to China to purchase the heavy machinery, Africa could develop itself with very limited debt.
Roads. Animal friendly means leaving safe passage for the animals. Will need to come off the ground like outer London. With enough big under passes. African fruit to start off with. Africa was once very very rich. But it needs it to run the place. It is not cheap in the sense of other unthinkable costs. Like flooding completely taking out roads. Villagers being cut off.

It does not make sense if Saudis can use one resource to make everyone in the country rich yet most African countries have 15 to 20 but the people are the poorest.
Poor leadership create debt and poverty. You have all the resources in the world and you are begging for handout. This is horrible. You are training the people how to work for the Europeans while they control your resource? It's not about development of the countries it's about the value of the resources.
