@@StreetDrilla I was thinking long term. Christ the Redeemer has been drawing tourists to Rio for the past 80 years. The African Renaissance statue is only 11 years old and 2.5 of those years were during the pandemic. Talk to me in 69 years.

New looking pics are older, from when it was new. The weathered pics is how it looks in present day. In the 4 years I was in Dakar, it was never once cleaned or maintained.

It's probably the bronze oxidation like what happened with the Statue of Liberty. Bronze tends to become green but it takes time.
