In many cuisines of the Western World; after “cleaning” peas, or beans and I’m sure there are other foods as well. After cleaning process, the following “soak-water” is used as “the liquor” of stews, soups, or whatever kind of dish being made. They do it in Korean Cuisine as well, for “bone broth.” The meat bones are cleaned under running water, then boil them for a time. They are rinsed a second time, and then set to boil on low heat, over an extended period of time to cook down. We also use the “starch water” from boiling pasta. The starchy water is used as an ingredient in making rues, stock and such. TFS! I enjoy cooking and the preparation of different dishes that’s why I love when you upload a video of you in the kitchen.👍🏾 Edit: I watched to the end, obviously. I respect the “attention to detail” required in the preparation of this dish. It is a bit labor intensive, however a small price to pay when you reap the reward of a delicious outcome; Right?! The “peanut butter-infused” way of cooking your cuisine is very interesting to me. I can never imagine what the flavor profile might be. Watching you enjoy the things you cook give me a good idea that whatever it taste like; it must be amazing!👍🏾🖤✌🏾
