Can't Wait For You To Come Here So You Can Learn Exactly How We Do It & Please Bring Some Of Our Powder Seasons Home. We Love You Shorn. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
Hi Shorn. Great effort. Don't wet your seasoning next time. The hot oil can splash and burn you. I'm very happy for you, you are working with what you have. It looks like it came out well. I'm proud of you. Are you sure you have enough fish for all those people? Well remember 5 loaves and 2 fish❤❤❤
Thanks my sister. Showing these things on RU-vid is actually teaching many people around the world survival skills. In the US and in Europe, many don’t know how to survive if there is an attack on the power grids, or during times of natural disasters. In the Armed forces they know these things. These are the little things why there is really no hunger or starvation in Jamaica in addition to respecting nature. Don’t cut down the trees and keep the rivers and the ocean clean. We need water to survive. We also need each other to survive. We learn to survive when we share cultures because we all have strengths and weaknesses so we need to stop the diaspora wars and love each other. Shout out to my black brothers and sisters all across the world. Peace and many blessings.

I'm Jamaican too and I do my curry with tomatoes all the time 😀, no biggie given the fact that culinary art is dynamic and can be personalized and innovated upon. @@tedroybromfield8464

What are you talking about we cook fish just like how she does it too. Especially Curried and stewed fish. It's not only fried, escovitch or steam fish that's cooked in Jamaica! You must be from Kingston
@@codeElectro You must be an electrician that only recites codes without fully understanding the ramifications and the reasons for said code.. Certainly not someone who helps to crafts the NEC, IEC or JS21 or thoroughly understand the industry codes...These are Africans trying to cook Jamaican food. They are not Jamaicans and hence will still employ some of their method to prepare the meal. Don't be silly noone transports freshly caught fish without removing guts and scales. Your level of disrespect for other people and their culture shows your own insecurities
Im an Jamaican ,Anerican born and I have so much respect for the African Culture and African women as a whole, they are such strong women, physically and mentally. Much love for Africa, the motherland. Blessings my dear🙌🏾🇯🇲🇺🇲💕✌🏽

@@Shornarwa, hi, when you are making the sauce to put the fish in, you don't put plenty of salt because the fish was seasoned with salt already, then you put too much black pepper ,when cooking you don't put plenty seasoning you taste the pot as the cooking go

Hi @shorn Arwa . As a jamaican thanks for highlighting our beautiful Island Honestly, i dont know of Jamaicans putting curry powder on fish and we put the dry seasons as it no water added . . I still believe it will taste good . Nuff love and blessings 🙌 ❤
No no that is not jamaican cooking of fish we dont cook like that girl weel and come again we gut our fish we dont put sun to dry too much black pepper to much salt look on RU-vid you will see a lot of jamaican cooking still love you.
@sandraclarke6534 @sandraclarke6534. Actually to get a nice tasty crispy fish you put it in the sun to dry. Back in the day that's how my grandmother fried fish back in Jamaica, yes, it is a part of the African culture. It's in today society people we don't have time to dry the fish in the sun. Try it if you have the time one of the best tasty fried fish you will ever have. Stop undermining the sister, if you want to help send her a recipes via her email. At least she admired the Jamaica culture enough to try. Give her some credit.
@Baebae933 Well I am Jamaican grow up my grandmother and greatgrandmother sold fried fish and that's how they prepared their fried fish. Didn't ruined the fish one bit, kept their business going until they passed away.
I'm thinking thesame. . We nuh put water inna a we spices . Mix all the dry seasoningredients together. Then we put it inside the fish. Put the garlic clove into the oil with Scotch bonner pepper. Try it this way and its the best jamaican fish you'll ever eat. I'm jamaican . My fish is known in the north east Bronx . Fish fry .
That is not the ways Jamaican cooked tun cornmeal and fish. The person who teach you mislead you, Jamaican stop use wood fire, and less there is a function
❤❤❤👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽you did a good job mi Empress but you will do even much better when you visit Jamaica 🇯🇲 cause then you will see and learn much more of how di ting gu. One love mi empress. ❤
Hi Shorny, nice try but that is not our Jamaican way.first u don't use tomatoes with curry,we burn our curry if u don't burn the curry it will gives u running belly oh .we don't put water in our seasoning, yes we mix them together,we rub the season on the in side of the fishes too .oh girl u definitely ave to come here n learn the many ways of cooking Jamaican fishes.nice effort though
Next time use a knife to cut the fish before frying and don't tear after because it does not look presentable need to come to Jamaica to know how the thing go
Just wash your hands in a little bleach water it will get rid of the curry. We dnt add water to the seasoning in JA. You could use some of the same seasons you mixed when you are cooking the fish down
Jamaicans call it ‘rice and peas’ because they used to use mainly 'gungo' peas (aka 'pigeon peas'). Nowadays many use red kidney beans but they still call it 'rice and peas’. Also many still switch between 'gungo' peas and 'red' peas (kidney beans).
You did great for the first time Shorn! I would love to see more Jamaican dishes. If you need ideas please let us know. Jamaican living and watching from Toronto Canada. Love your contents!

We in Jamaica 🇯🇲 we just used black pepper and salt 🧂 Marinette it, and then we crushed the garlic 🧄 with the hot pepper 🌶️, and then we put the oil to heat up then we put the garlic and hot pepper with the fish to fry, then after we fry them till the fish gets brown then we chopped up the onions 🧅 with some more fresh garlic sweet pepper 🫑 and tomato 🍅 and Permento and if you want to put curry to give it some Colour to it, or some browning to it so we call it brown strew fish, then to make the gravy for it you put in the coconut juice to it and little water and yes the bay leaves 🍃to give a nice flavour to it and then you put the fish into gravy to simmer down then it is ready to eat, thank for sharing your highlights on how to Prepared Jamaican style of cooking there fish 🐟 blessings Jamaica 🇯🇲 to world 🌎
