@@karenmcklaren once you get to the garden you’d have to ask for him. I dont know his name but maybe if you screenshot a picture of him. They will know who he is.

Great Video ! Excellent tour guide! Thanks for bringing this to us Natural Ghana Girl! All we have needed, God has provided in nature!- “How great Thou art Oh God ! “
This was soooo interesting, I loved this video. I am most definately a NATURE PERSON. The Guide was very knowledgeable and has good sense of humor as you.
We need to start planting trees in Africa !This place looks like the typical American suburb .A house with a lawn surrounded by trees .I have lived in my house for twenty years but the development was built in 1980 so the trees are mature and tower over the two story houses ! It looks like the houses were built in the middle of a forest , yet I am only 5 minutes away from a major grocery stores , Starbucks ,Dunkin donuts and 15 minutes away from a huge mall , yet because of the trees and shrubs we have deer ,rabbits squirrels , ground hogs and all you hear outside are birds chirping ! I am from Nigeria and the way we build houses surrounded by cement in Africa is a problem . The fact that you had to go to a park to see trees is sad. When houses are built you obviously have to cut down the trees but in Africa they are not replanted . .
Yes, I always wondered why the homes have no greenery, just concrete. I agree more trees should be planted and developers need to think about nature when building.
@@mitzi4043I told a friend there are more trees here in UK than in Ghana and he didn't believe it. There are places in some London suburbs you could think you are in the amazon forest. Remembering a few; Highgate (from Finsbury Park to Highgate to hampstead) , Barnet is about 90% greenry, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham, Kingston, Richmond are among the most greenry part of London. There are packets of untouched forest all around London. Achimota forest should have learnt a little bit from Hyde Park or new york central Park. I live next to Epping forest in Enfield but the best place I would like yo live is chiselhurst in Bromley, I passed there oneday and couldn't convince myself I was in London. Even some poor communities like Tottenham, edmonton and others, you still see trees planted by the council along the streets. Even though these trees arecnot tall like the Kensington and Chelsea or Hammersmith neighbourhoods, it is a step in the right direction. The African leaders know all these and they also owe some properties in some of the posh areas but the care jack shit about their own people or country. Trees make towns beautiful and we should adopt it in Ghana.
I have just arrived I Ghana Africa for the first time and I can’t believe my eyes. I asked myself is this the Africa we were thought in school? As an European I always wanted to come to Africa see if what w were thought is true.I have find out that they are all lies.
Death is an unfortunate component in the story of life. Sadly, those parasitic trees represent that narrative. I agree with Rochelle that steps should be taken to curb their spread in the garden
Who made those rules? God did not appoint anyone kings or queens. Respect has nothing to do with legs crossing or it. Respect is what we say to another human, how we say it and most importantly is treating others as we would like to be treated. Legs or no legs has nothing to do with respect. Just people wanted to act superior telling others how to sit. ?
Africans used to live in tree in which year is the guy talking about may his may but for centuries Africans have always live in houses it may be hit but still a house.
I don’t think you understand Ghanaian culture. Touching is a part of the culture. I understand you are not used to it and would rather not have it happen. You moved to Ghana and should deal with it. So long as it’s not done in a creepy way it’s ok.
Go and tell the Japanese that when they bow to greet its old fashioned. And please work on your English language please;no offense Also your knowledge of tradition is rusty. Please update that
Wowww you’re super RUDE!!! Why would you tell her to work on her English when she speaks PROPER ENGLISH the way it SHOULD be spoken!! Here in Orlando, Florida there are PLENTY of people who speak proper, & CORRECT ENGLISH just like her! You’re RUDE!!! 🤡
This was not built by the slave traders . Slavery was abolished by 1890 . This was built by the British colonial government of Ghana! Look at the poor conditions it is in .In Africa we do not maintain anything . You seem to be missing the point that the British sent over the guy who built Kew Gardens to build this park , can you show us any park of this kind that the Ghanaian government has built in the 60 plus years since independence .Kew Gardens was built in 1844 and is as beautiful as ever , but this beautiful park is literally falling apart .
‘In Africa we do not maintain anything’ Gross generalisation. Ghana has an issue with maintenance for sure but there are plenty of countries in Africa that do not, I have seen with my own eyes. PLUS Ghana has Legon Botanical Gardens which is much better maintained and the government announced renovation of Aburi Botanical Gardens
