This tutorial taught me so much with 7 mins, I was always wondering where to get the bass guitar from but now I know 😅 Thanks for making this tutorial 😇
You make it look so easy when it takes years of experience to know what to add, what to remove and how to organise the layers when composing. This helped me learn something about the process. Thanks.
@@limeflashlight4101 he only used the guitar loop and had to compose the rest of the song using sample packs. I'm a guitar player and I use fruity loops a lot. Making the loop is pretty easy. The song is in the key of A and the chords are C#m7, Dmaj7 and Bm7 played as an arpeggio in the progression 3-4-3-4-1. The loop is modulated using a chorus effect. Easy enough. The hardest part when making beats isn't creating melodies or rhythm patterns but controlling your impulse to keep adding things that sound good for the sake of it and resist the urge to add effects to everything to make it sound more interesting.
This was such a cool video to watch! I always listen to these types of beats and wondered how people create them, so thanks for letting us see the creativity at work 🙏🏽
Amazing video this is one of the best Afro beats I’ve heard. The saxophone melody is just beautiful, really makes me feel a certain way. Loved the editing, beat structure and the groovy drums too. Fantastic all round 10/10
Incredible insight. So I’m assuming a loop is the chord progression, you can use loops to get better at music for beginners? I wanna get into music but without any foundation is difficult
@@producedbygreyson3598 thank you, I’m going to get into fl studio. I used soundtrap but I was too dependent on the loops, I’m going to try to add on to them
im a bit late, but if you see this, you see it. loop - a repeated phrase, exclusive to digital audio chord progression - a group of chords that may carry the emotion of a song melody - a sequence of notes defined by the empty spaces. an arpegio, for instance, is not a melody. what you should focus on is grabbing a trial of FL20 and Live 11. fl20 takes 3x as many prompts compared to Live and you can only execute them with a mouse. automation is a nightmare as well. if you want to make hip hop or electronic music, automation is more valuable than your right hand. good luck and if you have any questions, just hit me back with a reply
@@mouthfulacoque3580 Sorry for the late reply, merry Christmas and happy new year to u man. Okay so to make a song, you need a bass which is the chord progression right? Then the drums and finally the melody. I wanna get into RnB stuff as I have the voice and lyrics for that genre, do you know where I can learn more about music production? Is it worth going to college for this? I’ve been considering it as I got no mentor
