The problem with Black Man's Burden by Mack Reynolds is that it was not written by John M. Faucette. Faucette wrote Crown of Infinity and Age of Ruin. I read all three books back in the day but I did not know Faucette was Black at the time and I bet if he had written Black Man's Burden, it would not have gotten published. But I do not see any mention of either of these authors or any of these books in talk about Afrofuturism. In fact it seems to be more fantasy than SF. In the real world science and technology are making if not taking over the future.
