Thank you DO much for viewing FTD and treatment circumspectly. Because this is not common, we caregivers may not "know" how a simple adjustment in environment or expectation can make a world of difference to simply not, jump right to "meds for desired outcome". I understand meds will eventually be needed but me changing what I can to make his life better and easier is a much desired alternative to jumping into meds to make my day easier. Thank you for educating us to alternatives.

I am not a medical educated person, but I understand a lot medically due to being around illness a lot in my lifetime. I worked for Vocational Rehabilation Services for 27 years. How do I get through to someone I love to let me know where they have been placed. I know he is embarrassed even though he is sick. He is in the Charlotte, NC area. I have known him since I was 17 and he 21. Have tried to get him to let me know where he us do I can take him some things I know he needs such as clothes, puzzles, things he may could use to help his memory. Thanks. Carol.
Hi I have just been diagnosed with FTD after 3 years. I don't have anything on MRI scans.. Also I have developed arherites which is very bad are they connected ? My symptoms are the same as Parkinson's and problems with my joints and bladder ?
He is in a Nursing Home and I would like to have an eye to eye conversation with him so I can see how he really is. Take him some clothes and some things to use his mind. His name is Michael A. Cary.
