@@discussions. Not really. It is often the case that streamers play a level far later - even years after it had been created. For example CarlSagan42 has uploaded a video called "Delicious Dessert" today. In that video at about 18 minutes 54 seconds DGR and he have a race through a troll level from November 2021 that is marked with DGR for DGR's own level contest back then. DGR mentions that he did not know about that level until he played it with Carl in Carl's video. So DGR missed out on a level created for his own contest for over 2 years.

If you look at the troll level from Carl's video I mentioned and listed to what Carl says about its Creator before they start the troll race, you will learn that the creator RyeBread09 was discovered by CarlSagan42 on the list of the highest ranked levels of all time. According to CarlSagan his levels are up there on the Mario Maker leaderboards with levels from creators like KingBling. Yet when they played the level in the video - 2.5 years after it was created - it shows only 329 plays on the level, too. So unfortunately the creator being well known and very good does not guarantee that the level is played much.
When I first saw the hub room I was like: "Where is the safety coin? Only to find out that the coin behind the one-way next to the fake room which just leads to the other room is the safety coin.
Yeah lol, by now there are full grown adults that weren't even born when that show was on, now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to turn to dust and blow away now lol
This troll level was not brutal enough so Dave had to completely not realize there was a safety coin in the majority of his playthrough. In order to add a bit more challenge obviously.
Well, the "safety coin" isn't all that safety, because falling into that pit in the blue pipe section (right before dropping the shoe into the buzzsaw) forces you to pick it up. Even when he tried to just run out the clock, for some reason it gave it to him anyway.
@@TyphinHoofbun If you had really figured out the structure of the level, you would do the blue pipe first, before you had any of the other coins. But he apparently didn't think of that. Anyway, what makes it such a cruel design is that you have no way of knowing most of this without figuring it out the hard way first.
Admittedly, this level isn't what I'd call "spaghetti proof." Definitely creative but I feel like it's way too easy to die to the level and not the trolls.
After falling into the pit that forces you to grab the safety coin that many times, not sure why you would keep doing that section last and creating the risk of key death, when you could do the section first and not key death repeatedly.

So I don't play on the switch but i have to ask, why do the game stats not update after he clears the game? Still says only 15 clears the same as before he started?
Can we please start a petition to get Dave to stop saying, "This is it; don't get scared now"? Lol It's in almost every video, so I can only imagine how many times he says it per stream. It's been going on for years. We get it; you saw Home Alone. Time to move on to a new saying.
