After 70 cruises, I reached Royal Caribbean’s TOP loyalty level! 

I reached pinnacle 9 years ago, never went to a top tier event nor asked them to send me a pin, and told the loyalty ambassadors many times to award the next guy below me to recieve recognition. The countless crystal blocks I get I have guven away to first time cruisers I meet. In summary: If you have the time and the money anybody can reach pinnacle. I do not think its an honor nor a congratulatory event. I Just blend in and praise that i am healthy and lucky enough to enjoy a life on many cruise. ships. Best wishes and enjoy your life.

Like # 10 looking forward to our very first cruise 🚢 with Royal Caribbean on Independence of the seas going to Coco Cay in September.

You will love Celebrity. We sail on them all the time. I have only 70pts with Royal but because of the Elite status with Celebrity, I get to status match as a Diamond with Royal. Love it. The double points during the restart period was what helped pushed the points to the next tier. I do think Royal will add a tier in-between Diamond+ and Pinnacle within the next year or so.

Congratulations on your achievement. I like how you both toot your own horn and yet are so humble and nice. Making people feel welcome and a part of your community. I have learned so much from your channel and I appreciate that so much. Hope to meet you some day in person to say thank you in person.

Another great video Matt, and congratulations on Pinn. I reached Pinn in April 2024, and will get to enjoy these perks for the first time in a few weeks on Icon. I’m solo virtually all the time and with the DPP I arrived at 700 in 46 cruises. I have pledged to myself to NOT be one of the Pinns we’ve all seen who think the sun shines specifically on them. Were you on Winder’s inaugural sailing? Would love to run into you shake your hand to say thank you for your work and videos. I highly recommend all cruisers (especially new cruisers) to check out your channel.

Congrats, Matt on reaching Pinnacle. I just sailed on my first cruise as Diamond Plus on the Presidents Cruise in July and have completed 8 cruises now with Royal Caribbean. The double points promo helped a lot to get to D+ so quickly. I enjoy the free drinks and the other perks that are now part of my cruises and really enjoy cruising with RC and these extras. I just do cruises for the vacation aspect and expect to accrue points with my next "goal" being the 340 pt mark. Maybe some day I'll reach that elusive 700 pt mark but I take cruises just because I like this type of vacation. Royal is really special for having the type of loyalty program that it does so that people in every stage have benefits to make their cruise special.

My wife and I are DP and we love the free bag of laundry as we do a lot of TA's. The 2 free days of internet each is nice as the 5 free drinks each a day. We are not drinkers but we use it for fresh squeezed orange juice, diet cokes for supper and virgin Pina Coladas.

Congrats! Way to enjoy life. At Diamond plus, we enjoy the complimentary drinks as we never drink enough to buy a package. It's great to have our pre- dinner or after dinner cocktail comped.

One perk you failed to mention is at 350 points, the solo supplement charge is only 50% instead of double/100%. This makes a big difference for solo travelers.

As Loyalty Member I prefer the discounts on stateroom, internet, drink packages, excursions. It makes me want to book again and again.

Hey Matt! I had no idea you were on the Adventure of the Seas in Cozumel last week (I think?)! My family and I were on the Wonder of the Seas just opposite to you! We had an amazing time at that Margaritaville in port! Now, I'm debating on going on my first ever solo cruise next year, and I wanted to get your thoughts on the Adventure of the Seas? It's obviously much smaller than the Wonder, but is still decently large. Hope you enjoyed your time in Cozumel, and next time we're in port, I'll make sure to say "hi"!

Congrats Matt! My wife and I are both Diamond. As we tend to like longer duration cruises (7 nights and up), our favorite perk within the RC eco-system are the free drink coupons, the reduced laundry, and the balcony discount. But we also LOVE the reciprocity with Celebrity. Again this is driven by the fact that we like long duration cruises and in those instances the free laundry really comes in handy (think 15 night repositioning cruises). Don't under-estimate the value that the cross RCCL/CCL eco-system reciprocity creates!

I find it amusing that you, as recently as about three years ago, were stating on the Podcast that “I don’t think about Pinnacle…I’m barely halfway there” and thought it would take “many many years…Forever..” to hit…and it turned out to be less than 3…I imagine it seemed darn near impossible especially in the darkest times of the shutdown…Heartiest Congratulations!

That's awesome Matt! Congrats! Right now I'm 153 points and in less then 30 days I'm going on a back to back Alaska Cruise by myself. So in just over a month I'll be Diamond Plus! I have to say my favorite part about being diamond is actually the free drink vouchers. I don't drink alcohol and I've been trying to stay away from Sodas. So just being able to get 4 free drinks of what I want (within the cost limit of course) makes it more relaxing in a way, plus saves me money to spend somewhere else on the boat.

My wife and I were on RC long ago. When we went recently we did not get the gold status arranged prior to departure. Last day of the cruise we fixed it at the service desk to get some benefits. Used several just in the last evening. Wished we had done it earlier.

Hi Matt, good for you; well deserved. Needless to say and completely understandably, Pinnacle Club is a very high bar beyond the reach of most. However, it seems to me that in view of the fact that you are, without question, RC's most promiment, professional and informative influencer that it would have been reasonable and appropriate for RC to extend some extra credit toward this destination.

Congrats. I am a long way from Pinnacle Club. But it was nice on my last cruise to be a Diamond. Some of the perks were great.

Congrats Matt on Pinnacle status. I just made diamond status. I just came off of Wonder OTS last month. I did not really need the alcohol package anymore. I used my diamond status to get my 4 drinks a day. My two kids are diamond members now.

One of the changes that I would like to see is the ability to earn Crown and Anchor points on Celebrity and have it apply to Royal. I took Celebrity to Alaska the second time last summer. Sure, my Emerald status transferred over however, I am now 7 days off of Diamond Status with RCCL because I wanted to try Celebrity and now need to make it up on Royal...so frustrating.

My favorite benefit as a DIAMOND is the four free drinks per day. You can stretch it out with the champagne events such as Top Tier and Park West, and with the beer/wine discount benefits, and if you are in a grand suite or above there is a 3 hour free flow per day, it all adds up to great value making the beverage package redundant.

I’m way too old to reach Pinnacle but “good for you! Enjoy!”
