If they continue to let all the high ranking contenders fight each other there will be nobody but 6-10 ranked fighters for the champ to fight, creating a fraud. Its the Champs job to beat the best contenders, its not the contenders job to beat each other, its their job to beat the champ. JDM earned a title shot by beating Burns. If you beat anyone inside the top 5 you have a legitimate claim to a title fight. JDM should protect his position now by fighting nobody inside the top 15, only fight prelim guys coming off a loss, he has paid heavy dues to get beyond Burns & nobody can successfully continue taking fights at that level of intensity & remain successful.
