Lovely cups and saucers. Gorgeous settee and the seat can be easily recovered. Love the color. Moving into an abandoned home isn't quick, many legalities to take care of first. It needs completely redone.

Adam & Staci; just watching this video & while I'm glad you are out & away from this idiotic landlord, it works pretty much the same way in Ontario, Canada. You mentioned that the landlord used the " scrap metal" as the reason for eviction. On the form, if he gave you one, it stated that if the problem is rectified within the time stated on the form..the order becomes nul/ void. I know, I helped my mother get someone out & we served her a form & HAD to give reason ..we were just praying she would not know that this is NOT a real eviction notice, but rather only to notify her that she will be kicked out if the stated problem is not solved in the stated ammount of time on the form..& it worked.she left. Since you guys removed the scrap..his case is..well, he no longer has one!! Just to reassure you, I'm sure there are alot of comments in here from people who have had dick landlords.. I'm one of them. I lived in a place with a second story bedrooom window & this ass would put a ladder up & peep in my window. He also put my rubbish bins against my door so he could hear if I went in or out AND since I had no acess to the basement, where the power was connected to my unit, he would use power tools all day, leave the lights on & lock the door..cant tell you how jacked my hydro was. This guy was a real tool to say the least. Rent is really expensive here..I have 2 children, a son & daughter, so a 3 bdrm costs anywhere from $2,000 a month & YOU pay utilities. My 1st apartment in 1979 was already $500 a month.. the rents are out of controll & adult children just can't move out. ❤ from 🇨🇦

I love hearing you tell stories, good memories. If the landlord does come, don't let him in, just call the police and let them handle it. He would be committing and illegal eviction. He has to go thru the proper channels to get you out. Codys house seems like a nice fixer upper if you can find the land owner and make a deal with him. That high chair is an easy 70 years old. Clean it carefully and varnish it. That's about as close to original as you can get. Use oxsalic acid to bleach out that round wood piece. That bench is an antique too. Strip it and varnish. Something like that would be nice for a front porch. I hope things work out well for you.

Curbside junkies is one of the funniest you tube channels ive ever seen and watching you guys is like watching a good comedy show and you yall are so warm and inviting im a new subscriber i was honestly looking for dumpster diving videos to see if anyone would ever video themselves dumpster diving and then i found this channel and just like game of thrones i was hooked in seconds the difference in the two being one is written fantasy yall are real and im so glad that i did the dumpster diving videos search thank you for bringing the world into your home and your life somebody out there has to stand up as a real person that struggles and do what they can with in there ability to help others in need because your showing that struggle is real and people needs to see what its really like instead of looking down on the people that struggle your stories are amazing please don't y'all ever change and thats from a struggling hillbilly to a struggling Texan there should be a network of us out there

Curbside Junkies : You legally have to be given 30 days written notice before you can be evicted. As long as you've paid the rent up to date and haven't broken your contract they cant just up and move you out. Adam u were talking about the scrap metal in the yard unless it states that you have to keep the outside & inside looking a certain way he cant do anything about it. Hope ya'll got a written receipt every time you paid the rent. When he made the deal with ya about lower rent for ya fixing it up was that in writing? Go back and look at your video of the place ya rented that shows some of the damage that was in the house. I'm praying 🙏for for ya & the kids. Hope that everything works out.I love that you include your fans in on your personal struggles & let people know that ya are simple folks just like the rest of us & that ya have good & bad times too.💜

Posting different videos of what ya feel like posting is great! Check out renters/landlord laws chamber of commerce or local DES office. Sorry to hear that but greed has taken over so many. Still a few honest good people. Sending prayers ya'll find a better bigger place. Hope ya'll kept all recipes of what went into the house etc. He cannot legally evict without the eviction process.

Legally he cannot do that so when he shows up you called the police and they will make him go through legal channels which will buy you more time you guys are good people and don't deserve that he is the one that's got a few screws loose and it down right just makes me really mad that you did all that for him and he can't handle a little scrap really that just shows what kind of person he is and you'll be able to sleep at night knowing that you have good hearts and you did nothing wrong I love you guys and I'll be praying for your family everything will work out

Your landlord has to have a court ordered eviction.Even then,if you go to court,the law requires that you're given a reasonable amount of time to find another home.Make sure if it does come to that,that you show proof that you've paid your rent on time and complied to his request that you remove the scrap from the yard.You have video proof of that.He sounds like a real jerk...

If you are thinking about actually moving into an abandoned house … you should research "squatters rights" to find out how to do it legally and not get in trouble. (Also, then are hundreds of abandoned houses in the town of Marlin, Texas - mostly in the "historical district" - brown street signs instead of white street signs … both one story and huge two story from elderly people who died or from families that moved away decades ago when the mammoth VA closed) In nearby Waco you can often by houses in the condition that you showed for like 10G (look on realtor.com) …

When making a deal like you did with landlord, always get it down on paper. Hope you find what you need.

There are people you can call that should be able to help you. If you have anything in writing that would be great. But if I was you I would call the accessors office and find out who owns your friends house. You might be able to get it for next to nothing and it would be yours. You could fix alot of it by all the stuff you can find dumpster diving. Loved the green bench. And loved the video as well.
